Chapter 931: Ruler of Esports 45
Watching the scene unfold, Tang Wan couldn’t help but chuckle. When Ari shot her a pleading look, she turned to Fan Tong and said gently, “Alright, Tongtong, everyone’s tired after today’s match. Let them rest first, okay?”
Fan Tong didn’t hesitate. “Wanwan’s right.” Then he looked at the others and added, “No more training for now. Go back and rest.”
“Long live sister-in-law!” Old Leopard immediately tossed his phone aside, grinning. What Wanwan said clearly carried more weight than anything else. From now on, they’d better stay on good terms with their “sister-in-law.”
Seeing everyone cheering, Fan Tong twitched his lips slightly. Was he really that harsh in their eyes? Still, he didn’t bother arguing and simply pulled Tang Wan upstairs.
Each club member had their own room, but Fan Tong had deliberately cleared out the room next to his so he could stay closer to her. The two rooms shared a balcony, which he had remodeled into small study spaces, separated by a movable setup in the middle. Normally it looked like two independent areas, but if the partition was moved… it became a direct passage between the rooms.
He hadn’t used it so far—partly because he didn’t want to scare her—but the option had always been there.
Before Tang Wan entered her room, Fan Tong said casually, “I’ll come find you tonight.”
Tang Wan blinked, startled for a moment, but didn’t refuse.
What she didn’t know was that the balcony connected their rooms. Thinking he would come through the door, she deliberately left it unlocked after entering.
Seeing her agree, Fan Tong felt inexplicably satisfied. He had no intention of doing anything improper, but just knowing she was right next door, separated by only a wall, was enough to make it hard for him to settle down.
After returning to her room, Tang Wan made a video call to her mother and told her about winning today’s match. Hearing the news, her mother was genuinely relieved and happy—after all, with such a high salary from the club, she couldn’t help worrying that Tang Wan might not perform well.
After ending the call, Tang Wan went to take a shower.
When she came out, she froze slightly.
Fan Tong, already dressed in grey pajamas, was sitting casually on the sofa beside her bed.
“T-Tongtong?” she said, surprised, instinctively glancing at the door. “When did you come in? I didn’t hear anything.”
Fan Tong’s eyes flickered with amusement. “Did you leave the door open for me?”
“Of course. What if you knocked and someone heard?” she replied matter-of-factly.
He hadn’t expected that answer and couldn’t help but laugh softly. Then he gestured toward the balcony. “You haven’t really checked the balcony, have you?”
“I have. It’s just a study area, right?” Tang Wan said.
“It’s shared between our rooms,” he explained.
Tang Wan paused.
So… he came in through the balcony?
What looked like two separate rooms actually had a hidden connection?
After realizing this, she couldn’t help but purse her lips slightly. “Do other people know about this?”
Fan Tong shook his head calmly. “They all think the setup is fixed. They don’t know it can be moved. Don’t worry—no one else knows.”
No matter how much he wanted to come see her, he would never let her become the subject of gossip.
