Chapter 926: Ruler of Esports 40

Hearing the coach’s words, Fan Tong and Tang Wan both nodded before heading to the office together.

Once inside, the coach looked at Tang Wan and said, “I’ve reviewed your gameplay. It’s excellent. There’s a group-stage match next Friday—I’ll have you participate.”

The current TG roster was made up entirely of veteran players. Other teams had already studied their playstyles thoroughly. Although TG had barely advanced through the previous group stage, their performance had been strained. If things continued like this, making it far in the summer split—let alone achieving three consecutive championships—would be nearly impossible.

Fan Tong understood the coach’s intention and gave Tang Wan a small nod.

Tang Wan simply smiled. “I’ll follow the coach’s arrangements.”

“Good. Train more with the team and maintain your condition,” the coach said, nodding in approval. Afterward, he discussed internal role adjustments with Fan Tong.

From that point on, Tang Wan began training with the TG team.

The official players all knew that her arrival meant changes. Only five players could be on the field at once—if someone joined, someone else had to step down. No one wanted to be the one replaced, so everyone trained with even greater intensity.

Soon, Friday arrived—the group-stage match.

This time, TG was up against the NDF team.

When the audience saw a girl sitting among the TG players, they were stunned. Before this, there had been no announcement about any new recruit.

Tang Wan, however, was completely at ease. Having experienced countless high-pressure situations before, a stadium match like this didn’t faze her at all. The coach and Fan Tong had worried she might be nervous in her first official competition, but seeing how relaxed she was—arguably more than them—they finally relaxed.

At the commentary desk, the male commentator exclaimed in surprise, “Wow, TG has a new member—and it’s a female player!”

The female commentator quickly added, “Was this announced? I had no idea TG signed someone new!”

At that moment, the team lineup appeared on the big screen.

When the name “TG-Sweetheart” showed up, the male commentator immediately reacted. “Sweetheart? Wait—that Sweetheart?”

“You mean the one dominating on Shark Live?” the female commentator asked, clearly excited.

“That’s right! The one associated with the Fox! I didn’t expect the Fox’s mysterious girlfriend to actually be a new member of TG!” he said. “Anyone who’s watched her streams knows how skilled she is—even many professional players haven’t been able to beat her.”

The female commentator nodded. “Then let’s see what kind of performance she brings today!”

In the NSDD team area, Lin Haiyang stared at the screen in disbelief.

“How could it be her?” he muttered.

Tang Wan… playing professionally?

He had never even heard about it. And she was the same “Sweetheart” who had been repeatedly stealing Qiqi’s spotlight on Shark Live recently.

Meanwhile, Tang Wan’s fans watching the broadcast were going wild.

“Ahhh! I knew her skills were pro-level!”
“She actually became a professional player!”
“Is she the first female pro player?!”
