Chapter 1824: Unlucky Heiress (92)
The injuries on their bodies were disappearing before their very eyes.
In less than a minute, the men who had just been covered in welts had skin that looked completely normal again.
The reason it was only their skin that had returned to normal was because the pain remained, without diminishing in the slightest.
Demoness?
The word flashed through everyone's mind at once.
Tang Guo paid no attention to whatever they were thinking. Even if they went around telling others, who would believe them?
She casually glanced at Tao Yu and the two bridesmaids standing nearby. Would they say anything? Of course not.
"Exactly. How could Xiao Guo have beaten all of you black and blue? You men are blatantly lying. So many grown men, and you're actually trying to frame a weak little girl."
Tao Yu was the first to react. He hurried to Tang Guo's side and took her soft little hand in his, mentally hypnotizing himself before smiling and saying, "Even if Xiao Guo had hit you, could such a gentle girl, with fingers as white and delicate as scallion stalks, really beat you that badly?"
The scumbags inwardly roared: It hurts like hell! Easy for you to talk when you're not the one getting whipped!
"There are so many of you men. How could Tang Guo possibly beat all of you?" Ning Zhixin stepped forward and said seriously, "You disgusting men really can't take a joke. Now you're even trying to frame someone."
"That's right." Wen Qingmeng chimed in. "Wasn't the bridesmaid just trying to liven up the wedding? Why can't you handle it? She only tore up a few of your clothes. Is that enough reason to accuse Tang Guo of beating you? You even want to sue her? That's just unreasonable."
Tang Guo nodded. "Exactly. You all look like you deserve a beating. Even if I had beaten you, would anyone believe it when there aren't any marks on your bodies? Hospitals wouldn't find anything wrong either. You can talk yourselves hoarse, and nobody will believe you."
Looking at those scumbag men standing there with furious, bewildered expressions, unable to utter a word, Wen Qingmeng and Ning Zhixin felt immensely satisfied.
Usually, when these rotten people attacked women with their words, they were ruthless one after another. Finally, there had come a day when they themselves were left speechless.
They didn't care whether Tang Guo was a demoness or not. As long as those bastards suffered, that was enough.
When the door opened and Tang Guo and the three bridesmaids walked out with their clothes neat and intact, a group of spectators sat nearby outside, men and women mixed together, still waiting to watch the excitement.
The sound of the door opening immediately drew their eyes over.
Wen Qingmeng and Ning Zhixin still felt lingering fear. If they had emerged from that room looking disheveled and miserable, they probably wouldn't have been able to show their faces again.
Those people waiting outside for gossip and entertainment would no doubt have pointed fingers and talked about them endlessly.
Fortunately, they walked out unharmed. Not even a strand of their hair had been touched.
The villagers found it particularly strange that these women had emerged so clean and composed.
Earlier, the room had been noisy, but no one had gone close to look.
The men had wanted to, but they all had wives and didn't dare.
Those women had stopped their husbands from going, but that didn't mean they wanted to miss the sight of the bridesmaids walking out in a sorry state after being "teased."
Among them were even a few women who had once been bridesmaids themselves and had suffered the same treatment. Seeing others encounter the same ordeal brought them a faint sense of satisfaction.
Just as they were wondering what had happened, Fan Chao and the other men emerged one after another, clutching the scraps of cloth covering their bodies, their faces deathly pale.
Clearly, there wasn't a single injury on them, yet somehow anyone who looked at them could tell they were in terrible pain.
