Chapter 1818: Unlucky Heiress (86)
Since it was the bride and groom, no one would take things too far. After all, it was their special day. But a little harmless teasing wasn't enough to satisfy everyone.
They couldn't go too hard on the newlyweds either, or it might affect the young couple's relationship.
So in this place, there was a custom of teasing the bridesmaids.
In other words, the bridesmaids would bear the misfortune on behalf of the bride.
Originally, the bride, groom, and bridesmaids had all been inside the room.
But somehow, the bride and groom had already been taken away, leaving only Tang Guo and the other two bridesmaids surrounded in the cramped room by a group of grinning men with ambiguous eyes and expressions carrying hidden meanings.
Aside from Tang Guo, Wen Qingmeng and Ning Zhishen were both stunned.
They had absolutely no idea what was happening.
Wen Qingmeng even politely asked, “Has the wedding teasing already ended?”
“Where's Yujiao?” Ning Zhishen followed up. Instinctively, both women felt that they needed to leave this room immediately.
Though they didn't know why, they followed their instincts and tried to push past the men to look for He Yujiao.
Being surrounded by so many men reeking of sweat made them uneasy.
“The bride and groom have gone off to take care of things, of course. We've already had our fun with them. Now it's the bridesmaids' turn.”
One of the men laughed.
“We're all adults here. We're just having some fun and celebrating. Relax, we won't do anything to you.”
“That's right. We won't go too far, but you'll have to cooperate.”
“You came here to be bridesmaids, so you should know our local customs, right?”
“Bridesmaid teasing is a tradition here. Most bridesmaids know about it.”
At that moment, Tang Guo spoke up.
“Know what? We're all from the city, not from your village. We only came because we're good friends with He Yujiao. Whatever customs you have here have nothing to do with us.”
A middle-aged man smiled.
“Little girl, no matter where you're from, now that you're bridesmaids and have come to our village, you have to follow our rules. You're taking the teasing on behalf of the bride. Once it's over, everything will be fine.”
Tang Guo smiled faintly.
“And how exactly does this teasing work?”
“What else could it be?” another man laughed. “Just some games adults enjoy. We won't really do anything to you. Just a few fake actions.”
At those words, Wen Qingmeng and Ning Zhishen's faces instantly turned pale.
They were adults. There was no way they didn't understand what he meant.
They had already felt something was wrong.
Now they knew their instincts hadn't been mistaken.
Looking at those wolf-like gazes, tears welled up in their eyes.
Ning Zhishen said, “I don't want to play. If you dare do anything to me, I'll report you.”
“Miss, we aren't doing anything to you,” one of the men said with confidence. “How are you going to report us? We won't really do anything. Even if you go to the hospital afterward, there won't be anything to find.”
Listening to those brazen words, Ning Zhishen's face flushed red, and her eyes filled with terror.
In all her twenty-something years, she had never encountered people so shameless, vile, and despicable.
They weren't human.
They were beasts.
“Brothers, time to have some fun with the bridesmaids!”
Someone shouted, and several men immediately rushed toward the three women.
Wen Qingmeng, who stood closest to them, was instantly seized by two men who grabbed her arms.
No matter how hard she struggled, she couldn't break free.
