Chapter 1736: Unlucky Heiress (6)

Zhao Wen and Chen Xian sat down and whispered among themselves, discussing what kind of food they should make.

"System, find me a few snack recipe books."

In the end, Tang Guo had the System search for various snack recipes and print them out on A4 paper.

When she handed them to the couple, she told them she had found everything online and that they could try them out and see how they tasted.

Since they had already rented the shop and decisively closed down their previous business, whether they wanted to or not, they had to make this one work.

Tang Guo wasn't worried at all. She was sure they would succeed.

Afterward, the couple immersed themselves in researching food, while Tang Guo attended classes peacefully and waited for her reunion with the Tang family.

Every day, the couple locked themselves in the shop and experimented with different snacks.

What they didn't realize was that although they hadn't opened for business yet, the delicious aromas drifting out of the store had already attracted many people's attention.

One day, they forgot to shut the door properly. A few students with a passion for food could no longer resist and sneaked inside, startling the couple, who were in the middle of experimenting.

The students saw the pair seated at a table covered with all kinds of mouthwatering snacks and involuntarily swallowed.

"Boss, why haven't you opened yet?"

"Boss, when exactly are you opening?"

"You've made so much food. You're not planning to keep it all for yourselves, are you?"

"So, are you open today? Are you doing business? Are these for sale?"

"Even if you're not officially open, there's no point letting all this food sit here. Why don't you sell some to us so we can try it?"

The students surrounded the couple, talking over one another.

Chen Xian asked, "Students, what do you think of these snacks?"

Recently, they had been making food every day and had become so accustomed to the flavors that they couldn't judge properly anymore. Since they had secured such a good location, they wanted to make sure everything tasted excellent.

Whenever they asked Tang Guo whether the food was good, she always said it was delicious.

But their daughter's taste didn't represent everyone's, and they lacked confidence.

The students widened their eyes.

Seeing the owner genuinely suspecting that his snacks weren't good almost blinded them.

It was like hearing a billionaire complain that he was poor.

"Boss, can you see that we're practically drooling?"

"Ever since last Friday, we've been smelling all sorts of aromas coming from your shop. We thought you were about to open and planned to feast over the weekend. But we waited and waited. The weekend passed, Monday passed, then Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and now it's Friday again. Boss, are you opening a business or not?"

By now, Chen Xian and Zhao Wen had already realized that the students had been drawn here by the aroma of their food.

"Then have a taste," Chen Xian said.

"How much does it cost?"

Chen Xian continued, "It's free to try. If you think it's good, you can pay afterward."

The students exchanged glances. In the end, they simply couldn't resist the temptation and began eating without ceremony.

By the time Tang Guo arrived at the shop, she found several students with oily mouths, rubbing their bulging stomachs with blissful expressions.

Looking at Chen Xian and Zhao Wen, she saw smiles all over their faces as well.

"Dad, Mom, are you open for business already?"

Chen Xian shook his head. "Not yet, but soon. Tomorrow. We'll officially open tomorrow."

"Boss, take the money."

The students, completely satisfied after stuffing themselves with snacks, pulled money from their wallets and handed it to Chen Xian.

Chen Xian waved his hand.

"Today's meal is on us."
