Chapter 1682: Miss Nice Girl (45)
As Tang Guo walked downstairs, she heard several girls whispering among themselves, and every topic revolved around Gao Lili.
Tang Guo had long expected that after suffering losses at Gao Lili’s hands, Hu Xiaolan would never openly say much, but she would definitely stab her in the back sooner or later. What she hadn’t anticipated was that Hu Xiaolan’s first move would be to quietly ruin Gao Lili’s reputation.
“I live on the same floor as Gao Lili and the others. She comes back late almost every night. And I’ve run into her several times when she forgot her keys. In the middle of the night, she’d bang on the door so loudly. The soundproofing in the dorm is terrible, and she always disturbs the neighboring rooms.”
“Now that you mention it, I remember something. Some time ago, Gao Lili came back around eleven-thirty. She’d forgotten her keys again. First she knocked, and when no one opened the door, she started kicking it, waking up several dorms.”
“We even came out and asked what was wrong. Guess what she said? Thinking about it now, it’s hilarious.”
“She claimed her roommates were deliberately targeting her and refusing to let her in. It was still cold back then, and we actually thought her roommates were in the wrong. We were even planning to let her stay in our room for the night. But…”
The girl paused for effect.
“But who would’ve thought? Her roommates had actually left the key under the door, tied with a string. They even sent her a message specifically to tell her, but she hadn’t seen it herself. Honestly, Gao Lili is really annoying. The look on her face back then was priceless.”
Ordinarily, no one would remember such things so clearly. But Gao Lili was simply too outrageous. Hu Xiaolan was always left speechless by Gao Lili’s line, “Xiaolan, you’re the best. You won’t mind, right?” and could only bottle up her anger inside.
Was Hu Xiaolan the type to quietly swallow her losses?
Obviously not.
Gao Lili had no idea that whenever Hu Xiaolan stood on the balcony, seemingly reminding her about some bad habits or casually bringing up trivial matters, she was doing it on purpose. She would even speak loudly enough so that the neighboring rooms on every side could hear.
Anyone overhearing their conversations would naturally conclude that Gao Lili was a freak and terribly unhygienic.
And Gao Lili’s hygiene habits truly were something ordinary people couldn’t tolerate.
Hu Xiaolan didn’t need to say much. Around noon, whenever she heard someone from the neighboring rooms passing by, she would deliberately raise her voice and remind Gao Lili to wash the underwear she had left soaking for several days.
Didn’t Gao Lili love using her basins and buckets?
Hu Xiaolan would simply bring it up. Sure enough, Gao Lili would respond with her usual line.
“Xiaolan, I have too many things to wash, they won’t all fit. Let me use yours. We’re such good friends, and you’re so nice. You won’t mind, right? I’ll wash them clean for you afterward.”
Anyone with even a slight preference for cleanliness would find Gao Lili disgusting after hearing such words.
【So, Host, every time you went back to the dorm and heard Hu Xiaolan arguing with Gao Lili, was Hu Xiaolan doing it on purpose?】
After hearing Tang Guo’s analysis, the system felt chills running down its nonexistent spine.
Good heavens, Hu Xiaolan was really frightening.
How could an ordinary person think so far ahead?
“Of course she did it on purpose,” Tang Guo replied. “Otherwise, with Hu Xiaolan’s personality, she would have replaced her bucket and basin the very first time Gao Lili used them.”
