Chapter 1676: Miss Nice Girl (39)
Looking at the exquisite and beautiful nails on all ten fingers, Han Yunya let out a gasp of admiration. “I never imagined you could do nail art this well. Tang Guo, you’re definitely going to become popular.”
“You’re so good at doing nails, so why don’t you dress yourself up properly?” Han Yunya asked curiously.
Tang Guo replied, “My parents are pretty conservative. They don’t like me dressing too brightly. If I wear makeup, they’ll tell me to wash it off. If I did my nails, I don’t know if they’d cut off my hands.”
Tang Guo wasn’t exaggerating. The original owner’s parents, especially her mother, really were like that.
Although they paid her tuition and gave her a modest allowance, they hardly cared about anything else. But the moment they discovered that she was dressing up too much, they would immediately think she was going astray.
The clothes she wore were all proper and conventional. To young girls, they naturally looked old-fashioned. It wasn’t that the clothes were bad; they were simply out of style.
Every time, her parents would lecture Tang Guo not to date in college, not to dress provocatively, and to work hard through part-time jobs.
After graduation, she was expected to return to the county town and find work there.
They didn’t want Tang Guo to become too beautiful because they were afraid she would run off with someone and become difficult to control.
After all, they hadn’t sent her to university because they truly wanted her to make something of herself.
Nor did they do it because they believed girls absolutely needed higher education.
Rather, they thought that men from slightly better-off families nowadays cared about educational qualifications when choosing wives.
That’s right. They had sent the original owner to college merely so she would be presentable in the future.
In their hometown, bride prices were also quite high.
Tang Guo’s parents’ combined income wasn’t low, but they intended to buy a house in a big city for her younger brother, Tang Xiaokun, in the future.
If Tang Xiaokun turned out to be promising, they even planned to send him abroad to study.
Apart from necessary expenses, every penny they saved was reserved for Tang Xiaokun.
“There are still parents like that?” Han Yunya found it hard to believe. What loving parents wouldn’t want their daughter to look pretty?
If she hadn’t known Tang Guo for so long and vaguely known that she came from a county town and lived in the urban district there, she might have thought Tang Guo lived in some remote corner of nowhere.
“Enough about that. Come on, let me take some beautiful pictures of you.”
The moment Tang Guo brought out her camera, Han Yunya froze slightly.
“That camera isn’t cheap, is it?”
It had to cost tens of thousands, right? Weren’t her parents supposed to neglect her and her family not have much money?
“It’s all money I saved up over the years. Since I’ve decided to build something for myself, I naturally need to invest in good equipment.”
“You’re really amazing.”
At this stage, she still only knew how to spend money.
Han Yunya extended her elegant hands, already adorned with beautiful nail art, and according to her own sense of aesthetics, posed in the prettiest ways she could think of.
Meanwhile, Tang Guo clicked away with the camera.
Han Yunya’s hands were slender and fair, delicate as peeled scallions, her skin rosy beneath its whiteness and exceptionally beautiful.
The nail art only made them look even more stunning.
Since they needed to photograph dozens of different sets of nail designs, Han Yunya was using transparent press-on nails, making them easy to remove without damaging her real nails.
Everything couldn’t be finished in a single day, so they spread the work over several days.
After about a week, Tang Guo had photographed nearly twenty sets of exquisite nail designs in various styles for Han Yunya.
Not only were there photographs, but also short videos.
