Chapter 1673: Miss Nice Girl (36)
After eating, Hu Xiaolan took leave for herself again. She really didn’t feel like attending the afternoon class.
Gao Lili’s attitude today had changed the way she viewed certain things.
She was beginning to wonder whether she should seriously reevaluate Gao Lili and Tang Guo.
Tang Guo knew nothing about any of this.
She and Han Yunya spent some time studying in the library. There was only one class in the afternoon.
After class, she stopped Han Yunya. “Yunya, could you take these books back for me? I’ll come and get them later. I need to go out for something.”
“Sure. Give me a call when you come back. If I’m not there, don’t bother knocking. Just go back to your dorm first, and I’ll bring them over later.”
“Thanks.”
“No need to be so polite.”
Han Yunya hugged both their books and the two parted ways at a fork in the road.
Tang Guo was naturally going out to look for a place to live. As for applying to her counselor for permission to live off campus, that shouldn’t be a problem.
Living in that smoky, chaotic dorm for another three or four years?
Forget it. She couldn’t stand it.
But she had no intention of using “poor relationships with her roommates” as the reason for applying to live outside.
That would make her seem antisocial. In this world, she didn’t intend to become the best or most outstanding person.
Being a little outstanding and a little exceptional was enough.
Since she wanted to live as an ordinary person, there would always be all sorts of people around her.
Just because you disliked someone didn’t mean you could avoid them forever or solve everything by never seeing them again.
People were everywhere. Where could you run to?
Even if she wanted to live somewhere peaceful, she couldn’t use a reason that made herself appear too special.
If you weren’t truly exceptional or standing at the top, there was no need to isolate yourself on a lonely peak, enduring the icy blade-like winds. That would only make life harder and make you seem out of place. No ordinary person wanted to be friends with someone like that.
“Tang girl, what a coincidence.”
“It really is.” Tang Guo looked at the man standing outside the school gate and snapped back to reality. “How can it be such a coincidence, Big Brother Baili? We run into each other every day. I’m starting to think you’re monitoring my every move.”
“Absolutely not. I’m not that kind of person.” Baili Sheng hurriedly explained, afraid she would misunderstand.
The residential complex where he lived was just across from the school, not far away. His apartment was on a relatively high floor, giving him a view of part of the campus. The school gate, in particular, was perfectly visible.
Ever since getting to know Tang Guo, he had developed a habit of sitting by the floor-to-ceiling windows whenever he had time, gazing in that direction.
He didn’t know why, but every time he saw her appear, he had the urge to go near her.
Vaguely, he had already formed some guesses.
He simply needed to verify whether things were truly as he thought.
“You’re out so early. Do you have something to do?”
“I’m looking for a place to live. I’m planning to move out.” Tang Guo smiled. “Living outside will make things much more convenient, and I’m planning to do a little side business in my spare time.”
“What are you planning to do?”
“Mobile nail services.”
Baili Sheng looked surprised. “You know how to do nails?”
“Of course.”
System: The host knows how to do far more things than that. Nail art is nothing. Looks like the host really does intend to live an ordinary life this time.
But why did he feel that she still wasn’t all that ordinary?
Well, he would just wait and see whether his guess was right.
