Since her relationship with Gao Lili was even closer, Hu Xiaolan thought there should be no problem. She wouldn’t even need to use the errand service.

Unexpectedly, Gao Lili said, “I’m going out after I eat. I won’t be coming back.”

“Why don’t you use the errand service to buy your meal? It’ll be faster that way.” Remembering what Tang Guo had said earlier, Gao Lili quickly used it as an excuse.

When Tang Guo had said it, there had been genuine concern in her tone, and Hu Xiaolan had accepted it gladly because Tang Guo really wasn’t coming back.

“How come I never heard you mention that you were going out?”

“You didn’t ask, did you? I couldn’t exactly tell you in advance that I’d be going out. It was only after hearing Tang Guo remind you not to forget the errand service that I decided to go out after lunch. I’ve already told my boyfriend, so I can’t go back on my word. Besides, the errand service is really much faster. You’ll get your food sooner.”

Gao Lili’s excuse was rambling and incoherent.

Whenever Gao Lili made plans with her boyfriend, she always held loud video calls right there in the dorm.

In the end, Hu Xiaolan said nothing more. Gao Lili visibly let out a sigh of relief, then grabbed her bag and left.

Lying in the dorm room, Hu Xiaolan sank into thought.

Perhaps her relationship with Gao Lili wasn’t as close as she had imagined.

Last night, when Tang Guo came back and saw how chilled she was, she had immediately poured her a cup of hot water and reminded her to buy medicine.

Today, even though she was busy and heading out, she still remembered to remind her to eat.

Honestly speaking, she had never been particularly close to Tang Guo.

Most of the time she spoke to her, it was to ask for favors. In her heart, she had mocked Tang Guo as an idiot, a fool, and a simpleton.

She had been secretly pleased that she always managed to take advantage of her.

Like watching a show, she had observed Gao Lili monopolizing Tang Guo’s bucket and basin.

Whenever there was some small conflict between Gao Lili and Tang Guo, she had always stood by Gao Lili.

Because she had thought, so what if Tang Guo was kind?

First, her grades were average.

Second, she was too honest, poor at socializing, and had few friends.

Yet the person she had looked down on had still cared about her.

In the end, Hu Xiaolan used the errand service to bring her lunch.

Looking at the food in front of her, she fell into thought again.

She remembered that whenever Tang Guo brought her meals before, she would even thoughtfully bring back a bowl of soup.

People that attentive were truly rare in college.
