Chapter 1667: Miss Nice Girl (30)
“So I put the key under the door. It’s tied to a red string—just pull it and it’ll come out.”
Several girls leaned over and saw that the message had been sent by Tang Guo. They had all heard of her. She was known as a nice girl, though she had little presence.
Anyway, if you asked her for help, she basically never refused. From what they had heard, she seemed like a decent person.
“Since you’ve got the key now, hurry up and go inside to sleep.”
“Yeah, you misunderstood your roommates.”
“Actually, your roommates are really considerate. They even thought of this. In the middle of the night, if someone’s sleeping deeply, they really might not hear you.”
“This is already more than thoughtful enough. Treasure it.”
Yawning, the girls placed the key into Gao Lili’s hand. “We’re going back to sleep. Next time, remember to bring your key. Don’t make so much noise in the middle of the night.”
Now they no longer sympathized with Gao Lili. She had such considerate roommates, who had even left a key for her.
Yet she hadn’t checked her messages and had been complaining that her roommates were deliberately targeting her. Was there something wrong with this woman’s head? No, she was simply selfish and petty.
Fortunately, they had discovered the key in the end and hadn’t let her stay in their dorm.
System: So that’s why the host had been kind enough to leave a key under the door for Gao Lili.
The host knew Gao Lili would pound on the door and attract the attention of the neighboring dorms.
By then, regardless of why the people inside didn’t open the door, they would be blamed no matter what.
Gao Lili would gain everyone’s sympathy, and the people in the dorm would become the villains.
But in the end, most of the blame would probably fall on the host.
Hu Xiaolan could simply say she had caught a cold. Who would blame a sick person?
Leng Ruofei had always been aloof and only stayed in the dorm two or three days a week.
Anyone who knew her a little understood that she probably came from a powerful background. No one would be foolish enough to blame her.
That left only Tang Guo, because she had an ordinary background and wasn’t sick.
To many people, insomnia wasn’t considered a serious issue. Even if she had taken sleeping pills, they would still believe she could be awakened.
Some would even accuse Tang Guo of being inconsiderate, saying that she knew Gao Lili hadn’t returned yet, yet she still took her medicine and went to sleep without thinking about her roommate.
But with this move of leaving the key, the host had completely exposed Gao Lili’s petty nature. The girls from the neighboring dorms now knew how thoughtful Tang Guo had been toward Gao Lili.
Brilliant!
She had reaped all the benefits.
Even if Gao Lili felt unhappy inside, she couldn’t openly complain about Tang Guo.
Because the host had considered everything so perfectly. It had left a deeper impression than personally getting up to open the door for Gao Lili.
Yet behind the scenes, she had thoroughly trapped Gao Lili.
When Gao Lili returned, she simply collapsed onto the bed without washing anything, still wearing her makeup.
Tang Guo woke up at six the next morning. Coincidentally, Leng Ruofei also got up that early.
“So early?” Leng Ruofei asked casually. Her gaze swept over Gao Lili’s sleeping figure, sprawled out without any grace. “Did you open the door for her last night?”
“No.”
Leng Ruofei looked surprised. “Then was it Hu Xiaolan?” It didn’t seem likely.
“I left a key under the door for her,” Tang Guo replied. “But I won’t be using that method again.”
