Chapter 1647: Miss Nice Girl (12)

Half an hour later, a highly satisfied Baili Sheng led Tang Guo back to the supermarket they'd visited earlier.

He gave her a huge pile of complimentary gifts, all daily necessities from the same brands they had just discussed.

He even threw in products from several other new brands, hoping she would share her thoughts after trying them.

Naturally, the two exchanged contact information.

And for reasons unknown—or perhaps simply out of gentlemanly courtesy—seeing that it was already getting dark, Baili Sheng personally escorted Tang Guo to the entrance of her university.

Thus, Tang Guo walked back to the dorm carrying two large plastic bags.

Host, your Big Cutie owns a lot of supermarkets. You two seemed to have had a pleasant conversation today.

“How could he possibly not be pleased? The information you gave me was practically a global big data analysis of those brands, which are still relatively unfamiliar to people here. As a businessman, how could he not be satisfied? He's probably already gone home to draft a marketing proposal. He'll definitely push those brands properly. Maybe in the future, he'll even cooperate directly with those foreign brands and become their exclusive agent or something.”

Tang Guo curled her lips. “And all he gave me were a few freebies. What a miser.”

Well, Host, you'll all be family in the future, so why bother calculating so clearly? Family shouldn't draw such distinct lines. Being too clear about things isn't good for relationships.

By the time Tang Guo returned to the dormitory, only Hu Xiaolan was inside.

That afternoon, after forgetting their keys, she and Gao Lili had searched everywhere for Tang Guo without finding her.

In the end, they had no choice but to ask the dorm manager for the spare key.

The dorm auntie had taken the key while scolding them nonstop, all the way from the first floor to the seventh.

Forget the girls' dormitory—even students in the other dorm buildings had probably heard about how they forgot their keys and got cursed out by that old witch.

Unable to hold herself back, Hu Xiaolan asked when she saw Tang Guo return, “Tang Guo, where did you go this afternoon? We couldn't find you anywhere, and we couldn't get through to your phone. Lili and I even went to the cafeteria and the library looking for you. If you weren't staying in the library, you should at least keep your phone on. It's so late, and there wasn't any news from you. What if something had happened?”

“Hm? What did you buy?” Hu Xiaolan's attention quickly shifted to the two plastic bags in Tang Guo's hands. “Did you go shopping?”

Tang Guo nodded. “Yeah. After eating, I read for a while in the library and forgot to turn my phone back on. Later, I wandered around outside and happened to run into a promotion at the supermarket.”

“What did you buy? Snacks?”

“No. Sanitary pads, menstrual underwear, antibacterial soap, and other daily necessities.”

Hu Xiaolan instantly lost interest.

“Were they cheap?”

“Very cheap.” Tang Guo smiled warmly and raised the two bags. “Buy one bag, get another bag free. It was such a bargain. Money's been especially tight lately, and to run into a promotion this good… I won't need to buy these things for the next six months. The supermarket also gave me lots of products from other brands for trial use.”

Hu Xiaolan had already lost interest the moment she heard it was sanitary products and the like.

Then she heard Tang Guo say, buy one bag and get another bag free.

How cheap and how bad must those things be? How hard must they be to sell for the store to offer such a losing deal?

Maybe they were even close to their expiration date. Only someone like Tang Guo would buy sanitary pads solely based on how cheap they were.

Could things like that really be bought at the lowest price?
