Chapter 1627: Rubik's Cube Beauty (89)
“I’ll prepare a wedding gift for you two.”
Without exchanging another word with anyone, Jun Ming turned and left. Everyone was already used to it. Jun Ming had never liked crowded places, especially somewhere like Trading City, where the aura of the living was at its strongest.
Gu Lin secretly glanced at the hands Tang Guo and Gong Wei were holding. “You two really got together. Amazing.”
“Remember to bring a wedding gift when the time comes,” Gong Wei said.
Gu Lin’s expression turned particularly strange. Wedding gift? Since when had Gong Wei learned such a modern phrase? Could it be that he was planning to make a fortune from the wedding?
“I know.” Naturally, Gu Lin would not refuse. After all, one only got married once. A wedding gift was only proper.
Besides, this crisis had been caused by his own carelessness, and Tang Guo had resolved it. No matter what, he had to show his gratitude.
That very day, Gong Wei returned to prepare for the wedding.
Not long afterward, Zhang Le arrived with Yin Xiaofei hand in hand. “Tang Guo, Xiaofei will be staying with me from now on. I think Trading City is the best place to live, so I came to ask you for a good location. I’ll settle down here with her in the future.”
Yin Xiaofei looked slightly shy, but the happiness on her face was obvious.
Tang Guo spread out her palm, and a small booklet appeared in her hand. She casually tossed it over to Zhang Le.
He hurriedly caught it and opened it. “Damn, Tang Guo, you’re so generous. You’re giving us the property deed outright?”
“Consider it a wedding gift.”
“Then thank you.” With that, Zhang Le had solved all his worries. Holding Yin Xiaofei’s little hand, he pressed one of her fingers onto the owner's section of the deed. “This is a permanent property deed. You can live in Trading City forever.”
Then he pressed his own fingerprint beneath the owner's section, signifying that he was one of the household members.
After that, he handed the deed to Yin Rui. Wearing a roguish smile tinged with flattery, he said, “Brother, give me a fingerprint too.”
Yin Rui snorted but still pressed his fingerprint onto the deed. Staying in Trading City was indeed much safer.
“Then, Brother, I’ll go rent a storefront next. You and Xiaofei can run it. I’ll prepare the wedding first and get married as soon as possible,” Zhang Le said. “Yingxue and the others are continuing their rotations. If we delay too long, the next time we meet will be at least six months later.”
Yin Rui agreed.
Then Zhang Le happily led Yin Xiaofei away to pick out wedding supplies.
He had already decided that the wedding would be held in Trading City. As for Amusement City, forget it. Even after renovations, it was still uncomfortable to live in. Trading City was perfect for Xiaofei and her brother.
“By the way, Tang Guo, when are you two getting married?” Zhang Le remembered something and turned back to ask.
“Next month. A wedding between city lords is much more complicated than yours,” Tang Guo answered.
Zhang Le did not think much about it and left with Yin Xiaofei.
“A wedding between city lords is complicated?” Xie Yun asked.
Tang Guo nodded. “Of course. A-Wei has to sort out his dowry properly. He’s a city lord, after all, so he definitely has plenty of possessions. We’re both people of status. Naturally, the wedding should be grand and magnificent.”
Xie Yun felt there was nothing wrong with that, though somehow something about it sounded off.
Ever since losing his hands, Zhai Chenming had been gloomy every day.
Although Yi Yingxue accompanied him constantly, today, while she was out, he came alone to one of the shops in Trading City.
“What do you want to buy?”
“Two hands.” Zhai Chenming pursed his thin lips slightly. “How many Rubik’s Cube Coins will it cost?”
The shop clerk raised his head and looked at Zhai Chenming. “Who are you buying the hands for?”
