The very people who had chased him with swords were now smiling and comforting him, saying that his mental endurance was too weak.

Zhai Chenming was so angry he was about to explode.

“What happened to these people?” Yin Xiaofei asked instinctively.

Tang Guo, standing beside her, answered softly, “They're dead.”

Yin Xiaofei felt her whole body go cold.

Dead?

If she had indulged herself in the pursuit of all those handsome, rich, perfect men inside the illusion, would she have ended up like these people, dying within the dream?

“What? Scared?” Zhang Le grinned mischievously. “I never thought someone like you would actually be able to walk out of the illusion. You've really opened my eyes.”

Yin Xiaofei's fear vanished instantly when she heard his words, replaced by an angry glare. “If you don't know how to talk, then shut up.”

Though she had been reluctant to part with those handsome, wealthy, perfect men from the illusion, she knew very well that there were no such good things in the world, nor would strangers suddenly appear and treat her well for no reason. She wasn't Tang Guo. Her luck wasn't that good. Such things were fine as dreams, but they couldn't be taken seriously.

Amid the bickering between the two and the lingering fear among the crowd, the sun slowly sank below the horizon.

Darkness descended upon the sky, and as always, the Rubik's Cube World began rotating.

When they were finally able to see clearly again, waves of deathly aura rushed toward them.

At that moment, she was curled up in his arms. One of Zhang Le's hands was tucked into the pocket of his ripped jeans while the other rested around her waist. The two of them looked exceedingly intimate.

She quickly pushed him away and hurried forward a few steps, but the crunching sounds of skeleton bones beneath her feet made her freeze in terror. Trembling, she looked around frantically.

Apart from Zhang Le, there wasn't a single living person nearby.

Still standing where he was, Zhang Le watched as Yin Xiaofei's face grew paler and paler, her legs shaking uncontrollably. He burst out laughing.

He reckoned that if the ground hadn't been littered with human bones, Yin Xiaofei would have collapsed on the spot.
