Chapter 1160: Ruthless CEO 50

If the real Tang Wan had heard those words, she might have been hurt.

After all, in the original timeline, she had been the daughter the Tang family constantly neglected. No matter how much better she performed, she was always compared unfavorably to Tang Ci. Every time she sought even a little warmth, she was met with coldness, indifference, or emotional knives disguised as “discipline.”

But the current Tang Wan had long since stopped caring.

Those words could no longer even stir a ripple in her emotions.

Tang Wan looked at Tang Mother calmly and spoke in a light tone.

“It sounds like I begged to be born into your family.”

Her gaze was steady.

“When you gave birth to me, did you ask for my opinion?”

A faint pause.

“And since you’ve already decided you don’t recognize me as your daughter, then sign it.”

Her voice turned slightly colder.

“After all, in your hearts, you only ever had Tang Ci.”

Father Tang’s expression changed immediately.

“Tang Wan! You can’t do this!” he said quickly. “Even if we were biased, we raised you! We spent money and effort on you!”

Tang Wan let out a soft laugh.

Then she leaned slightly forward, her tone calm but cutting.

“In the past few years, I’ve made far more money for the Tang family than what you spent raising me.”

Her eyes narrowed slightly.

“So tell me—what exactly are you trying to ‘recover’?”

The room fell silent for a moment.

Some things could be measured in numbers.

But affection was not one of them.

And what they had taken from her could never be balanced with simple math.

Father Tang’s expression stiffened.

He clearly realized the situation was slipping out of control.

But before he could speak again, Li Shuangtong casually placed a cheque on the table.

“One billion,” he said calmly. “Sign it, and this severance agreement is done.”

Instantly, the atmosphere froze.

Father Tang’s eyes locked onto the cheque.

The next second—

He sat up straight.

The so-called “heart discomfort” vanished in an instant.

“Really?” he asked urgently.

Li Shuangtong’s tone was indifferent. “Naturally.”

Without hesitation, Father Tang grabbed the pen and signed rapidly, as if afraid the money would disappear if he slowed down even a second.

Mother Tang hesitated for a moment, but ultimately followed.

Within a minute, both signatures were complete.

Li Shuangtong took the agreement, glanced at it briefly, then casually tore the cheque and tossed it onto the table.

The Tang family froze again.

Only then did he turn to Tang Wan, his expression softening instantly.

“Let’s go home.”

Tang Wan smiled and nodded.

“Okay.”

She naturally took his hand, and together they turned toward the door.

But just as they reached the exit—

Fu Yunshan’s voice suddenly rang out behind them.

“Wait!”

His body was barely steady, leaning against the chair for support. His eyes were red, and his voice carried a desperate restraint.

“Wanwan… do you still love me, right?”

“I was wrong. I know I was wrong.”

“Give me another chance. Don’t marry him… okay?”

In the original storyline, this moment would have been enough to make the heroine turn back.

But Tang Wan stopped.

Not because she hesitated.

But because she had already decided.

She turned slightly, her expression calm and distant.

And this time—she didn’t look back at him at all.
