Chapter 1145: Ruthless CEO 35

“Tong Tong… what happened last night?” Tang Wan’s voice was slightly hoarse as soon as she spoke.

Li Shuangtong immediately supported her back against the headboard, his tone carrying rare guilt. “Sorry. I didn’t expect you to react like that after drinking. I didn’t control myself properly last night.”

He paused, then added very seriously, “If you’re upset, we can go register our marriage today. I’ll even transfer LS Group to your name.”

Tang Wan froze slightly. “What are you saying? Even if something happened last night… I was the one who took the initiative. It has nothing to do with you.”

She rubbed her forehead and continued, “Besides… I already like you. Why would I blame you?”

Li Shuangtong finally relaxed.

“That’s good,” he said softly. “I was afraid you’d regret it when you woke up.”

Tang Wan immediately shook her head. “I’m too happy to regret anything.”

The tension in his eyes finally eased completely.

Then Tang Wan suddenly sat up. “Ah—what time is it? I’m going to be late for work!”

Li Shuangtong quickly pressed her back down. “The boss is right here. What are you worried about? I’ll give you a day off.”

“Yes,” Tang Wan muttered, then suddenly sat up again. “No. Work is work. Today’s project meeting is important. I can’t delay it.”

She looked serious. “It’s a multi-billion deal. If we miss it, it’ll affect the company and everyone involved.”

Li Shuangtong watched her quietly.

There was no hesitation in her eyes—only responsibility.

That was exactly what he liked about her.

“I’ve already postponed the meeting by an hour,” he said calmly. “Your proposal is solid. It will pass.”

Tang Wan still shook her head. “No. We can’t let everyone’s pace be disrupted just because of us. Let’s go to the company now. We can still make it.”

Li Shuangtong couldn’t help but smile helplessly.

Why was she so responsible… even after last night?

It made him completely unable to refuse her.

He reached out and pulled her into his arms briefly. “If you insist, then fine. We’ll go together.”

Then he added casually, “Or we can just hold a video meeting from here.”

Tang Wan nodded. “That’s fine, but going in person is better.”

Li Shuangtong sighed softly. “LS Group hasn’t reached the point where I need my future wife to overwork herself.”

His voice softened further. “From now on, you don’t just work for the company—you also work for me. And I can afford to support you.”

Tang Wan blinked slightly at his words.

And for once, she didn’t immediately respond.

The atmosphere in the room softened quietly.
