Chapter 1108: Iceberg Doctor 57

After the two of them entered the house, Li Sihao stood outside holding the business card that Tang Wan had casually left behind, his expression completely blank.

The card clearly read: “Tang Wan, President of XX Group.”

President?!

Impossible.

Tang Wan must be lying.

Thinking this, Li Sihao immediately took out his phone and started searching the company name. But the more he checked, the more his confidence collapsed. The company not only existed, but also had a registered capital of 20 million. That number alone was already far beyond his own net worth.

He didn’t believe it and continued digging. Within minutes, he found a financial report from three days ago—XX Group had gone public, and its estimated market value had already reached 10 billion. The newly appointed female president, Tang Wan, was listed among the top female billionaires.

Li Sihao froze completely.

What kind of world was this?

He refused to accept it.

If this was true, then everything he believed before would collapse. That day, all the “luxury requests” she made… were they deliberate? A test?

But what he remembered was a completely different image—an ordinary, even slightly poor, girl next door.

For a moment, humiliation and disbelief surged up together, and he clenched the business card tightly before storming toward the living room.

Inside, Tang Wan was calmly chatting with Li family elders and handing out prepared gifts. Her posture was elegant and natural, completely without pressure. The elders kept praising her, saying she was capable and well-mannered, and that Li Sitong was lucky.

Li Sitong glanced sideways at Li Sihao, his gaze cold and warning.

If Li Sihao caused trouble now, he would not tolerate it.

Li Sihao met that look and froze, the anger in his chest turning into suppressed frustration. In the end, he turned away abruptly and left, ignoring the calls behind him.

Seeing this, Li Sitong gently patted Tang Wan’s hand and gave her a signal. Tang Wan smiled lightly in response.

Soon, Li Sitong found Li Sihao outside.

“Still angry?” he asked calmly.

Li Sihao clenched his fists. “Why didn’t you let me say the truth? She lied to me from the beginning! So what if she’s rich? Who knows if she’s even sincere with you? What if she’s just playing you too?”

Li Sitong smiled faintly.

“She lied to me?” he said slowly. “I can see that myself.”

Then his tone turned slightly deeper. “But I should thank you. If you hadn’t misunderstood her and broken up with her so quickly, I wouldn’t have had the chance to be with her either.”

Li Sihao stiffened. “What do you mean?”

Li Sitong continued, calm and certain. “She was afraid that you would feel pressured by her identity, so she concealed it. She tested you because she wanted to see if you were willing to spend on her without hesitation. But you didn’t even last an hour.”

Li Sihao stood there, speechless.

For someone with his financial ability, a few hundred thousand was not impossible—but Tang Wan’s acting had been too convincing. From beginning to end, she had played the role of an ordinary girl perfectly, so perfectly that he never even considered the truth.

And now, he had lost before he even understood the game.
