Chapter 1088: Iceberg Doctor 37
Li Sitong slightly curved his lips after receiving the “good person” card, then said, “I still have work to do. I’ll take you to the hospital cafeteria for lunch at noon.”
Tang Wan’s eyes immediately lit up. “Okay!”
But inwardly, she was already calculating—if she went to the cafeteria with Li Sitong, his colleagues would definitely see them together. That would be perfect for “declaring sovereignty” without saying a word.
Seeing her obviously pleased expression, Li Sitong raised his brows slightly, but didn’t expose her thoughts.
“Then I’ll go first,” he said.
“Mm, take care, Doctor Li,” Tang Wan nodded.
She watched him leave, then opened the biscuit bag and took a bite. It was simple, but unexpectedly delicious. As expected, anything he brought tasted better.
After finishing an IV bottle, Zhu Lele came in to check on her. She carefully looked at Tang Wan, and the more she looked, the more uneasy she felt. Everyone in the hospital was saying that Doctor Li had personally rushed in holding a girl this morning, clearly very anxious about her. At first, she didn’t believe it, but now that she saw Tang Wan in person, she finally understood. She looked like someone straight out of a TV drama—soft, pretty, and clean. No wonder Doctor Li didn’t pay attention to other nurses. If it were her, she probably wouldn’t either.
“Hello,” Tang Wan greeted.
Zhu Lele snapped out of her thoughts and quickly adjusted her expression. “Hello, I’m here to change your IV bottle.”
“Thank you,” Tang Wan said lightly.
But inwardly, she tensed slightly. Zhu Lele… was famously unreliable. Still, it was just changing an IV bottle. How bad could it be?
The answer came quickly. Almost the moment the new bottle was hung, blood started flowing backward into the tubing.
Zhu Lele panicked instantly. “Ah—sorry! Sorry!”
She hurriedly adjusted the drip rate in a flustered manner. Tang Wan frowned slightly but said nothing. After a moment of chaotic adjustment, the situation finally stabilized, and the blood slowly receded.
Zhu Lele let out a long breath. “Okay… it’s fixed.”
“Mm, thank you,” Tang Wan replied calmly, not bothering to argue further. Blood reflux during IVs wasn’t rare anyway—she had just been unlucky.
Zhu Lele felt relieved and quickly left for her next patient, thinking silently that someone liked by Doctor Li really was different—good-looking, gentle, and even tempered. She sighed inwardly, feeling there was probably no chance for her anymore.
Tang Wan, however, had already closed her eyes to rest. By the time the IV finished, it was past ten in the morning. She hadn’t brought her phone, and Li Sitong was still in surgery, so she simply lay back and rested quietly, chatting with Little Cutie in her mind while recovering.
