Chapter 1075: Iceberg Doctor 24

Li Sihao’s face was still filled with irritation when he returned home. The luxury bag in his hand was casually thrown onto the sofa as he said coldly, “We broke up.”

“Broke up? Why?” Li’s mother immediately asked.

Li Sihao frowned. “Why else? She’s a gold-digger. Today I finally saw her true face—she kept asking me to buy her things. If I didn’t find out early, I don’t know how much I would’ve been tricked into spending later.”

His tone carried clear frustration and disappointment.

He had always believed he could judge people accurately. But this time, he felt like he had completely misjudged her.

Even though the financial loss wasn’t severe, the emotional impact felt worse.

Li’s mother frowned slightly. “Really? That girl looked quite decent to me… she didn’t seem like that kind of person.”

A relative nearby immediately chimed in, “You can’t judge people by appearance. These days, there are so many girls who only want money. What ‘rather cry in a BMW than laugh on a bicycle’—that kind of thinking is everywhere now…”

Li’s mother sighed lightly after hearing this.

Li’s father waved his hand. “Alright, alright, children have their own fate. Don’t worry so much. Our Sihao just won a championship—what kind of girl can’t he find?”

That finally eased the atmosphere, and Li’s mother nodded. “That’s true. Forget about it. One day she’ll regret it.”

Li Sihao didn’t respond further. Instead, his gaze drifted across the room and landed on Li Sitong, who was sitting quietly on the sofa.

“Cousin!” he called out.

Li Sitong had always been the benchmark of the younger generation in the Li family—academically outstanding, calm, and reserved. Most of them had grown up under his shadow.

They had all assumed he would enter business like the rest of the family, but instead, he chose medicine.

Li Sitong only gave a faint nod in response.

Seeing this, Li Sihao leaned closer, suddenly switching to a gossiping tone. “Cousin, you’re almost 29 now, right? Still no girlfriend? Weren’t there tons of people chasing you back then?”

Li Sitong’s voice was calm and indifferent. “Not interested.”

Li Sihao twitched his mouth. “That’s good too. No dating, no trouble. Unlike me—I thought I found someone pure and harmless, but she turned out to be a gold-digger. Lucky I discovered it early. Otherwise, I’d be the one suffering after marriage.”

Li Sitong glanced at him briefly. “Weren’t you always picky? How did you end up falling for someone like that?”

His cousin wasn’t the type to be easily fooled. Yet this time, he had clearly been played.
