Chapter 1068: Iceberg Doctor 17

Hearing Tang Wan’s words, Li Sitong said lightly, “You’re going to have a nanny take care of you?”

“Mm. There’s no one at home, and my friends are all busy. Only a nanny can come,” Tang Wan replied, her tone calm, as if she were already used to it. Seeing this, and recalling how she had tested her boyfriend earlier with the “cancer” situation, Li Sitong seemed to understand a little. This girl… probably lacked a strong sense of security. That was why she wanted someone who would never leave her.

But they weren’t close, so he didn’t comment further. “Alright,” he said simply.

Tang Wan nodded, then picked up her phone again. “How much are the medical fees? Let me add you on WeChat and transfer it to you.”

Li Sitong had two WeChat accounts—one for work, used to communicate with patients, and one for personal use. Logically, he should have given her the work account. But when he took out his phone, he paused for a brief moment, then switched accounts and handed over his personal one instead.

Soon, Tang Wan’s friend request came through, and he accepted it.

After adding him, Tang Wan quickly transferred the medical fees, then sighed softly. “I really shouldn’t joke about things like this again. The cancer was fake, but this time… I almost died for real.”

Li Sitong’s lips twitched slightly. “It was just an accident. Don’t think too much about it.” After a pause, he added, “It’s not convenient for you to be transferred right now, so stay here for the time being. If anything comes up, you can contact me.”

“Really? Won’t that trouble you?” Tang Wan looked up at him.

“I’m a doctor. It’s nothing troublesome,” Li Sitong replied calmly.

“Then thank you so much! When I recover, I’ll definitely treat you to a big meal!” Tang Wan said immediately. Li Sitong gave a faint nod. “I’ll wait for that. You should rest now—I need to go back.”

“Mm. Goodbye!” Tang Wan said.

After he left, Tang Wan didn’t lie down right away. Instead, she picked up her phone and opened Li Sitong’s Moments, curious to see what he usually posted. But after scrolling for a while, she fell silent.

Every post looked the same.

“Foods that shouldn’t be eaten together—risk of poisoning.”
“Scientific health tips—say goodbye to hair loss.”
“Successfully completed a difficult surgery today.”
“After fourteen consecutive hours, the patient was finally saved.”

Tang Wan: …

She hadn’t expected his personal account to look exactly like a middle-aged health feed, no different from a work account.

Curling her lips slightly, she rolled her eyes, then posted her own update:

“So unlucky… got into a car accident today. Thankfully, someone pulled me out of despair and saved my life. I’ll never forget this kindness. Thank you… sending love.”

She attached a selfie of herself wrapped in bandages, then had Little Cutie adjust the visibility so that only Li Sitong could see it.

After that, she put down her phone, lay back on the hospital bed, and closed her eyes.

She was genuinely exhausted.

Soon, she fell asleep.

At the same time, Li Sitong had just opened his phone and saw her post. After reading it, the corners of his lips lifted slightly. He even felt the urge to like it—but in the end, he restrained himself.
