Chapter 1059: Iceberg Doctor 8

Seeing the slight reluctance on Sun Zi’ang’s face, Tang Wan immediately stepped forward and hooked her arm through his, speaking in a relieved tone. “It’s fine as long as you’re not angry with me! But honestly, after saying it out loud, I feel much better. Actually, I never really liked sweets. I only kept coming here to get closer to you. Of course, I’m not saying your desserts aren’t good—you’re really talented—but I personally don’t have much interest in them.” After that, she shrugged lightly, as if finally letting go of a burden.

Sun Zi’ang felt the contrast hit him hard. Where was the soft, sweet girl he used to know? Still, not wanting her to think he disliked her now, he nodded. “It’s okay. Some people just don’t like sweets… and I’m glad you were honest with me.” Hearing this, Tang Wan immediately brightened. “I knew Zi’ang was the best! Let’s go to a bar today, okay? I know one where the bartender makes amazing drinks!”

Sun Zi’ang froze for a moment. She… went to bars? “Wan Wan, girls shouldn’t go to places like that,” he said, unable to stop himself. Tang Wan immediately widened her eyes. “Why not? I used to go every week!” That answer caught him completely off guard, and his impression of her dropped another notch. He forced himself to stay patient. “I’m not saying you can’t go. I just think those places aren’t very safe.”

“It’s safe! You’ll know if you come with me once,” Tang Wan insisted. Then she began describing the atmosphere of the bar in vivid detail, even mentioning dancing closely with others. As she spoke, Sun Zi’ang’s brows furrowed tighter and tighter.

Of course, Tang Wan had no intention of actually going to a bar. Noticing his clear disapproval, she quickly waved it off. “Forget it, if you don’t like it, then never mind!” Then, as if suddenly inspired, she added, “Then let’s go to an internet café and play games? Do you play League of Legends? I’m super good—I can carry you!”

Sun Zi’ang rarely went online, let alone played games. Hearing this, he only felt that the gap between them was growing wider and wider. Taking a breath, he said, “Isn’t there a computer at home? Why go to an internet café?” “The atmosphere is different!” Tang Wan replied immediately, then added casually, “If you don’t like it, then forget it.”

Sun Zi’ang felt a quiet sense of relief. He handed her a small cake. “This is for you. A new dessert I developed.” “Oh,” Tang Wan replied flatly. She still took it, but her lack of enthusiasm was obvious. Only then did Sun Zi’ang realize that she truly didn’t like desserts, and he felt a bit awkward.

At that moment, a black car stopped in front of the shop. The next second, a long leg stepped out—and Tang Wan saw a familiar figure.

Li Sitong.

Cold. Abstinent. Unapproachable.

Tang Wan’s heart skipped a beat.

What is he doing here this early in the morning?!

This is bad—what if he sees me with Sun Zi’ang?

Almost instantly, she turned away in a panic. But just as quickly, she forced herself to stay calm and turned back to Sun Zi’ang.

“Then let’s go watch a movie!”

No matter what—

She absolutely could not let Li Sitong see them together.
