Chapter 1057: Iceberg Doctor 6

For Tang Wan, what happened at the hospital was just a small episode. But she knew very well that Zhu Lele’s naturally muddle-headed personality wasn’t suited for being a nurse at all. Still, Zhu Lele was the heroine. The hospital was where she and Yang Chenyu met and fell in love, so even if she made mistakes now, as long as no one died, she would be allowed to stay.

With a soft chuckle, Tang Wan flicked her long, smooth black hair and left the hospital.

The original host had never lacked money. To avoid exposure, she had deliberately arranged for each boyfriend to buy a separate house, ensuring that only two people would ever be present in each place. That way, her relationships wouldn’t collide. Today, she had originally planned to go back to Zhou You’s place—but now, Tang Wan had no intention of doing that.

After returning to the house where the original host lived alone, she collapsed onto the sofa and began seriously thinking about how to break up with all five boyfriends in the shortest time possible. Otherwise, if they ran into each other, it would definitely turn into a full-blown disaster. Not to mention—if Tongtong found out, who knew how difficult it would become to chase him afterward?

Just as she was deep in thought, her phone rang again. She opened WeChat and saw a message from someone whose profile picture was a strawberry cake. The other party had sent a photo of a dessert along with the message: “Wan Wan, I just made a new ice and snow honey cake. When are you free to come try it?”

This was the original host’s fifth boyfriend—Sun Zi’ang.

Sun Zi’ang was a pastry chef. The original host had first encountered him at a high-end restaurant. Because she liked the cakes he made, she kept going back. Later, she discovered that he was a handsome young man, and immediately became interested. She quickly launched a passionate pursuit, and since what Sun Zi’ang loved most was having his desserts appreciated, Tang Wan’s enthusiasm and ability to notice the details of his pastries won him over. He soon agreed to date her.

After getting into a relationship, Sun Zi’ang seemed to flourish under the nourishment of love. His pastry skills improved even further, and everything he made tasted exceptionally sweet and delightful. Every time he created a new dessert, he would ask Tang Wan to try it. In a way, she had become the inspiration behind his creations.

Looking at his message, Tang Wan narrowed her eyes slightly. She decided to deal with boyfriend number five first—the one most immersed in his pastry world.

After a brief pause, she quickly typed back in a cheerful tone: “Okay! I’m looking forward to it!”

But the next moment, she took a screenshot of their conversation. Then, pretending she had mistaken the chat for one with a close friend, she sent another message:

“I’ve got it even worse. Look at my boyfriend—every time we meet, it’s just about cakes. Honestly, I might as well not have a boyfriend at all! Haha, he might as well just spend his whole life with his pastries. Dating isn’t even as fun as playing games!”

“I knew dating a pastry chef would be like this. I should never have chased him in the first place. I was too young and shallow back then, completely fooled by his looks. Now every time we meet, it’s just desserts—I’m already sick of cakes!”

Ten seconds after sending the messages, Tang Wan pretended to realize her mistake and quickly withdrew them. Then she sent another message in a careful, slightly anxious tone:

“Zi’ang… what I just sent was a misunderstanding. Don’t be angry, okay?”
