Chapter 1026: Doomsday Big Boss 30
Hearing Hu Tongxia’s command, the others immediately stopped what they were doing and rushed out of the granary, quickly returning to the trucks to guard the supplies.
At the same time, the approaching group arrived.
A van came to a halt, and more than thirty tall, sturdy men stepped out one after another. The moment Hu Tongxia saw them, his eyes narrowed slightly. “It’s you?”
The other side was also surprised. “Didn’t expect to run into you again. What a coincidence,” a tall, thin young man said as he walked forward.
His name was Li Feng—the same ability user Hu Tongxia had met a couple of days ago while searching for chickens.
While Li Feng approached to greet him, a towering man—well over 1.9 meters tall, with a heavily built frame—jumped down from the driver’s seat. His presence alone carried a fierce, oppressive aura.
“Li Feng, are these the people you mentioned?” he asked in a deep voice.
This man was Zhou Tao—the cannon fodder villain from the original storyline.
“Yes, boss,” Li Feng replied immediately. “That’s Hu Tongxia. He’s staying at the air-raid shelter I told you about.”
Zhou Tao glanced at Hu Tongxia and the others with clear disdain. But when his gaze fell on Tang Wan, it suddenly sharpened.
His eyes lit up.
This was the first time he had seen such a stunning woman.
In this kind of world—and with his current strength—why shouldn’t he have whatever he wanted?
Without hesitation, Zhou Tao strode toward Tang Wan. “What’s your name?” he asked bluntly.
Tang Wan’s expression turned slightly cold.
Before she could respond, Hu Tongxia stepped forward, placing himself directly in front of her. “That’s none of your business.”
Zhou Tao’s face darkened instantly. He looked at Hu Tongxia with open hostility. “What are you supposed to be? You think you can stand in my way?” he said arrogantly. “That woman—I want her. If you’ve got any sense, get out of my sight.”
Those words instantly ignited Hu Tongxia’s anger.
“I should be the one asking that,” he shot back coldly. “What are you, daring to covet my girlfriend?”
At that, Zhou Tao sneered. “Your woman?”
“That’s perfect. Once you’re dead, she won’t belong to anyone, will she?” he said mockingly.
The next second, he threw a punch straight at Hu Tongxia’s head.
Seeing this, Tang Wan finally understood why, in the original plot, one of the heroines under Zhou Tao would eventually betray him and join forces with Xu Jintang to kill him.
This man was simply unbearable.
At the same moment Zhou Tao attacked, Hu Tongxia raised his own fist to meet him.
Although Hu Tongxia didn’t look as imposing as Zhou Tao, he hadn’t grown up weak. Before his family rose to wealth, he had fought his way through the streets—he was no stranger to violence. To someone like Zhou Tao, who had formal training, his techniques might seem crude.
But Hu Tongxia was far from a pushover.
He was the ultimate villain of this world—the one destined to command hordes of zombies and nearly wipe out humanity’s last hope.
How could he be just an empty show?
After more than half a year in the apocalypse, even ordinary people had sharpened their instincts through constant life-and-death struggles. Hu Tongxia was no exception.
The moment Zhou Tao’s punch came forward, a surge of cold, black energy erupted from Hu Tongxia’s body.
That eerie energy coiled around Zhou Tao’s arm like a venomous serpent, wrapping tightly around the thick limb that was as large as Tang Wan’s thigh.
