Chapter 1005: Doomsday Big Boss 9

Seeing Tang Wan deny it, Hu Tongxia immediately shot back, “You still dare to deny it? Do you dare say you weren’t looking at me with those watery, pitiful eyes? My eyesight is perfect—I saw it clearly!”

Tang Wan: …

“Go to hell,” she thought coldly.

This Tong Tong… just wait.

“I was being affectionate?” Tang Wan sneered aloud. “Even if I were to flirt, I’d sooner do it at a dog than at you.”

Little Cutie couldn’t help but shiver. “Host… is this really okay? He’s your target. Aren’t you afraid he’ll start hating you after being scolded like this?”

Tang Wan replied without hesitation, “Afraid of what? Don’t worry—he followed me all the way to the vegetable field and even helped catch the pigeon. That already means he’s interested in me.”

“Otherwise, with how much Hu Tongxia originally disliked the host, forget helping—he’d probably just stand there and laugh at me.”

Little Cutie hesitated. “But that was before you scolded him… now that you’ve said all this, won’t he get angry?”

Just as it said that, the notification sounded again.

“Ding! Hu Tongxia’s favorability +20. Current favorability: 20.”

Little Cutie: …

Humans were truly complicated creatures.

He got happier the more he was scolded?

Tang Wan wasn’t surprised at all.

After glaring at Hu Tongxia again, she turned and walked toward the pigeon lying on the ground.

Hu Tongxia’s expression didn’t look good either—but it wasn’t because he was angry at her words.

Instead, he was annoyed at himself.

Why had he bothered arguing with a girl?

He was just about to say something—maybe even apologize—but before he could, Tang Wan shot him another glare.

It was clearly a fierce look, yet it carried no real intimidation. Instead, for some reason, it felt… a little cute.

Seeing her pick up the pigeon and prepare to leave without even glancing at him again, Hu Tongxia suddenly felt a sense of urgency.

If she left like this… would she ignore him from now on?

That wouldn’t do.

Before he could think it through, he blurted out, “Hey! I helped kill that pigeon. If you’re going to eat it, I get half!”

Tang Wan: ???

She turned around slowly and looked at him.

So Tong Tong in this world… was a straight man through and through?

Hu Tongxia felt a little guilty under her gaze, but he still forced himself to look serious.

“Yeah. That’s how it is.”

Tang Wan narrowed her eyes slightly.

She could just throw the pigeon away and walk off—but that would be the dumbest move.

If she did that, it would only make him think she was trying to cut ties completely. And then it would be much harder for them to interact again.

But if they shared this pigeon… well, between splitting and eating it, there would naturally be chances to meet again.

With that thought, Tang Wan let out a light snort.

“Fine. You won’t miss out on your share,” she said.

Then she tossed the pigeon at his feet.

“Since you’re taking half, then you do half the work too. Pluck the feathers.”

After a brief pause, she added casually, “Once it’s cleaned, I’ll roast it.”
