Chapter 847: The Psychic Master 11
However, even after the middle-aged man spoke, He Tongyang didn’t so much as lift his head. Instead, he turned toward Tang Wan, his eyes lighting up with quiet excitement.
“Wanwan, look! I’ve put it together again!”
Hearing this, Tang Wan immediately smiled, her tone warm and encouraging. “Wow! Tongtong is amazing! You did it so quickly—I wouldn’t even know how to start.”
He Tongyang’s face brightened further. “Then I’ll teach you! Let’s play together!”
“Alright,” Tang Wan agreed at once. “Tongtong can teach me.”
Following his instructions, Tang Wan subtly used her ghostly power to move the Lego pieces, assembling them alongside him. To He Tongyang, it felt completely natural—as if they were simply playing together.
But in the eyes of the man standing nearby, it was an entirely different scene.
The scattered Lego pieces were moving on their own, lifting and snapping into place as if guided by an invisible hand.
A chill shot down his spine.
No wonder his father had said that this “child” was protected by an ancestor. There really was something… unnatural around him.
Cold sweat formed along his back. Seeing that He Tongyang paid him no attention whatsoever, the man’s expression darkened. After casting him a resentful glance, he turned and left the room without another word.
Once he was gone, Tang Wan turned her gaze back to He Tongyang.
“Tongtong,” she asked casually, “do you know that person from before?”
He Tongyang nodded. “Yes. He’s my father.”
Then, after a brief pause, he added bluntly, “But I don’t like him.”
“Oh?” Tang Wan tilted her head slightly. “Why not?”
In the original storyline, He Tongyang had always been someone who concealed his emotions deeply, never openly expressing likes or dislikes. But now, with his memory gone, his feelings were unfiltered and direct.
He Tongyang frowned faintly, tilting his head as he tried to think.
After a moment, he shook it. “I don’t know. I just don’t like him.”
Tang Wan didn’t press further. Instead, she asked softly, “Then what about me? Does Tongtong dislike me?”
“I don’t!” he replied immediately. “I like you. Tongtong likes Wanwan!”
His answer came without hesitation.
She stayed with him when he was scared. She protected him from the monsters. To him, that was enough.
Only she was good to him.
At that moment, the system’s voice suddenly rang out in Tang Wan’s mind.
“Ding! The villain’s favorability has increased by 20. Current favorability: 50.”
Its tone was bright with excitement. “Host, it’s only been one night and you’ve already reached 50%!”
Tang Wan raised a brow slightly. “Finished upgrading?”
“Yes!” the system said eagerly. “I’m now an advanced system!”
It could barely contain its excitement as it began listing off its new features. “Host, after this upgrade, I’ve gained a lot of new functions!”
“For example?” Tang Wan asked, glancing at it with mild interest.
“For example,” it said proudly, “if you want me to take pictures of the villain, I can now capture 360-degree, fully detailed images with no blind spots! And—most importantly—you can now connect to the star network through me. You can browse content approved by the main system… though you won’t be able to post comments.”
Tang Wan’s eyes lit up.
That alone made the upgrade worthwhile.
At least now, she could get a glimpse of the world Little Cutie came from.
Before she could explore further, He Tongyang’s soft voice suddenly interrupted her thoughts.
“Wanwan… you won’t leave me, will you?”
His tone was quiet, almost hesitant.
Tang Wan froze for a fraction of a second, then quickly looked at him.
There was tension in his eyes—along with a trace of fragile expectation.
Her expression softened immediately.
“Of course not,” she said firmly. “I’ll always stay by Tongtong’s side.”
