Chapter 846: The Psychic Master 10
It took He Tongyang a moment to process Old Master He’s words before realizing that the “ancestor” he was referring to was Tang Wan.
He nodded earnestly. “Mm! Wanwan is sitting right here with me. She stayed with me all night yesterday, and I didn’t see any monsters at all!”
Old Master He’s eyes widened in shock.
So the ancestor truly hadn’t left.
Not only that—she had personally stayed by Tongyang’s side the entire night.
A surge of excitement rose in his chest.
It seemed the ancestor truly valued Tongyang. But that made sense. After generations of inheritance, he was the only one in the He family with such a pure psychic bloodline—one capable of suppressing spirits without relying on external tools.
How could she not favor him?
With that thought, Old Master He immediately turned toward the empty seat and spoke respectfully, “Thank you, Old Ancestor, for watching over Tongyang. With your protection, he will surely recover soon!”
Tang Wan rolled her eyes silently.
Then she turned to He Tongyang. “Tongtong, eat.”
“Oh, okay!” he replied obediently.
He picked up his chopsticks, though his grip was still clumsy. Seeing this, Tang Wan reached out and guided his hand.
“Hold them like this… good. Now eat more,” she instructed patiently.
Under her guidance, He Tongyang quickly adjusted his grip. Although he had used chopsticks before, the reminder helped him regain the proper feel, and he soon began eating steadily.
Watching him now—eating with quiet focus and natural elegance—it was hard to imagine that his mind had regressed to that of a young child.
After the meal, Tang Wan suggested, “Let’s go for a walk. Get some fresh air.”
He Tongyang agreed immediately.
The He family estate was built along a mountainside, with the entire area belonging exclusively to them. As soon as he stepped outside, the open air and natural scenery seemed to lift his spirits. A faint smile appeared on his face without him even realizing it.
But perhaps because Tang Wan had “driven away” the monsters for him, he had grown extremely dependent on her. Every few steps, he would glance around anxiously, as if afraid she might disappear.
Each time he confirmed that she was still by his side, he visibly relaxed.
After wandering outside for a while, they returned to the house.
This time, He Tongyang eagerly brought Tang Wan to his toy room.
“Wanwan, this is for you!” he said, holding out a Lego robot.
It was clearly one of his favorite toys.
Tang Wan paused, then her lips twitched slightly.
So this was what Tong Tong liked in this world.
“Thank you, Tongtong,” she said gently. “But I can’t take it with me. You can keep it for me instead—I really like it.”
He Tongyang’s face immediately brightened. “Okay! As long as you like it!”
At that moment, the door was suddenly pushed open.
A middle-aged man walked in.
When he saw He Tongyang sitting among scattered Lego pieces, his eyes flickered briefly with something that looked like joy. But it disappeared just as quickly.
He stepped forward and spoke in a deliberately gentle tone, “Yangyang… do you still recognize me?”
He Tongyang didn’t even look up.
Seeing this, the man’s expression twisted for a split second.
Why hadn’t this little monster died yet?
But knowing that maintaining a good relationship with He Tongyang was still beneficial, he quickly smoothed his expression and softened his voice further.
“I’m your father,” he said. “Dad came back to see you.”
