Chapter 645: Female Sovereign’s Consort Selection 1
Little Cutie spoke up immediately, its tone earnest, “As long as the host has always loved him, you will definitely meet again. So next, you have to work harder to complete your missions and strive for resurrection!”
Hearing this, Tang Wan nodded without hesitation, her expression
turning firm. “You’re right. Send me to the next mission world!”
Little Cutie blinked. “Good host… aren’t you going to do your draw
this time?”
After the last settlement, she had earned three lottery chances.
Tang Wan’s eyes flickered. A moment later, she rubbed her hands
together, anticipation rising. “Draw!”
A spinning wheel appeared before her. She tapped it eagerly, eyes
fixed on the pointer as it slowed… and then—
A brilliant glow burst forth.
“Wow! Congratulations to the host for drawing an SSR—Tenfold Points
Card!”
Tang Wan’s eyes lit up instantly. Not bad at all.
“Draw again!”
The wheel spun once more.
“Congratulations to the host for obtaining SSR: Brave Heart!
When activated, the host will be fearless. Courage +1000%, Charisma +1000%.
Everyone will admire you to the extreme!”
Tang Wan blinked, her excitement cooling slightly. “...Isn’t this
just a show-off skill?”
She frowned. She didn’t like putting on airs—what use was something
like this?
Still, it was an SSR.
“Last one,” she muttered, tapping the wheel again.
A moment later, Little Cutie’s shriek rang out.
“Ahhhh! Congratulations to the host for obtaining SSR: Swift Step!
This is a permanent skill. Once activated, your legs will be as fast as
lightning—your speed comparable to a superhero!”
Tang Wan’s lips twitched.
“I thought I’d get another tenfold points card…” she grumbled. “What
am I supposed to do with this?”
Were these SSRs a bit… underwhelming?
Little Cutie almost choked. “Host! If other taskers heard you,
they’d want to beat you up! The main system is practically favoring you! How
many SSRs have you drawn already? And you’re still being picky?”
Tang Wan puffed her cheeks slightly. “Fine, fine. You’re right.”
She straightened up quickly, suppressing her thoughts. Better not
get complacent—what if her luck dropped next time and she couldn’t even draw an
SR?
“Then activate Swift Step,” she said decisively.
“Good host!” Little Cutie replied cheerfully.
Its eyes rolled mischievously, though it didn’t mention the
additional effects that came with the skill.
“Alright, host, shall we head to the next world now?” it asked.
Tang Wan nodded. “Mm.”
“Okay! Initiating transfer!”
“Ding… Successful shuttle!”
As Little Cutie’s voice fell, the world around Tang Wan blurred and
shifted.
When her vision cleared, she found herself standing inside a
magnificent hall.
Golden pillars towered high above, the air heavy with authority. At
the very front, seated upon an elevated throne, was a tall, fair-skinned woman
clad in a dragon robe. Her expression was cold and commanding, her presence
unmistakably imperial.
A female emperor?
Tang Wan’s gaze swept to the side—and paused.
More than twenty young men stood arranged neatly along the hall.
Each one was exquisitely dressed, their appearances strikingly handsome—far
surpassing even modern-day celebrities.
It looked… almost like a beauty pageant.
Before Tang Wan could fully process the situation or receive the
plot, the empress spoke.
“Wan Wan,” she said, her tone calm yet imposing, “do you have a man
you favor? You are no longer young. It is time to choose your principal
consort.”
At her words, Tang Wan hurriedly accepted the incoming memories. At
the same time, she lowered her gaze respectfully and replied, “As Mother
Emperor commands.”
Then, as if complying, she began to look over the assembled men one
by one.
Only after fully absorbing the plot did Tang Wan’s lips twitch.
What the hell—
A female dynasty?!
According to the original storyline, this was a nation where women
held absolute power. The social structure was completely reversed from the
ancient world she knew.
Here, women ruled the court, led armies, and held authority.
And men…
Men were the ones who married in, managed the inner household—
—and even bore children.
