Chapter 565:The Lonely Top Student 28
Hearing this, Tang Wan’s eyes lit up immediately.
“Okay! I’ll go right away. Don’t worry about the door—I’ll call someone to fix it.”
With that, she hurried into her bedroom, quickly changed clothes, and made a call.
The person on the other end didn’t sound surprised at all.
“Miss Tang, your door broke again? What kind do you want this time?”
“The same as before. Come as soon as possible.”
“No problem. We’ll be there in half an hour.”
Tang Wan hummed in acknowledgment, hung up, washed up quickly, and walked back out.
…
At this moment, Jiao Tong had already picked up the dropped breakfast and placed it neatly on the coffee table.
Seeing her come out, he hesitated slightly. “Your door… is the quality just bad?”
Before he could finish, Tang Wan smiled and shook her head.
“The door is fine. The problem is my hands.” She sighed helplessly. “Now you understand why I don’t dare touch you directly, right?”
Jiao Tong’s gaze fell unconsciously on her slender, pale fingers.
Then he frowned slightly. “Just opening a door… and it breaks like that?”
Tang Wan spread her hands and nodded seriously. “Exactly.”
“But didn’t you say before that things break because you’re catching ghosts?” Jiao Tong narrowed his eyes. “You weren’t catching anything just now—you just slammed the door.”
Tang Wan’s heart skipped a beat.
Oops. Almost exposed.
She coughed lightly, her mind racing.
Then she quickly shook her head, putting on a solemn expression.
“That’s not it. It’s not about catching ghosts—it’s just that my hands are… strange. Anything I touch gets destroyed.”
She paused briefly before adding, “Even ghosts are afraid of my hands. So when I deal with them directly, if I accidentally touch something else… it breaks too.”
Jiao Tong squinted slightly.
This was the first time he’d heard of such a bizarre ability—hands that could destroy anything… even affect ghosts.
But thinking about how, after she had touched him, the soul of Jiao Chun hadn’t appeared for days—
he slowly nodded.
“I see. So you always have to wear gloves?”
Tang Wan nodded. “Only when I touch things through gloves do they stay intact.”
“I understand,” Jiao Tong said quietly, his thoughts turning.
Then he gestured toward the table. “I brought breakfast. Let’s eat first.”
Fortunately, the packaging from the shop was sturdy enough—the fall hadn’t ruined anything.
After opening the container, Jiao Tong glanced again at Tang Wan’s hands. His eyes flickered slightly.
Then he picked up a soup dumpling and held it near her lips.
“Your hands aren’t convenient,” he said, trying to sound casual. “I’ll feed you.”
Tang Wan’s eyes brightened instantly.
“Okay!”
She opened her mouth happily, leaning slightly forward.
Seeing this, Jiao Tong deliberately moved his fingers a little closer to the dumpling—just enough that, if she wasn’t careful, she might touch his hand…
