Chapter 552:The Lonely Top Student 15

At this moment, Jiao Tong set down the chair in his hand, slipped off his backpack, and said to the others, “Thanks.”

“No problem. We’ll head out first,” Wen Chuan said with a grin, raising an eyebrow.

“Mm,” Jiao Tong nodded.

Then he sat down beside Tang Wan.

Tang Wan glanced at the curious and excited looks from the rest of the class, quickly propped up a large English textbook to block their view, and whispered excitedly, “Tongtong, did you transfer classes?”

Jiao Tong looked at her bright, sparkling eyes and felt an inexplicable lift in his mood. Still, his face remained calm and distant. “Yeah.”

As he spoke, he took out his books and arranged them neatly on the desk.

Tang Wan curved her lips into a smile. “That’s great! We can go to school together every day now.”

This kind of simple, everyday closeness—no matter how many worlds she experienced—never got old.

Jiao Tong’s lips lifted ever so slightly.

Soon, the homeroom teacher walked in.

Seeing Jiao Tong choose the seat next to Tang Wan, he couldn’t help feeling surprised.

Someone actually dares to sit next to her? Not afraid of her… “bad luck”?

Of course, he didn’t say it out loud. After clearing his throat, he began the lesson.

After class, he called out, “Jiao Tong, come with me.”

As the homeroom teacher, he felt obligated to warn him.

After all, if anything happened to Jiao Tong because of Tang Wan, the school wouldn’t be able to explain it to his parents.

Jiao Tong stood up and followed him out.

Once outside, the teacher lowered his voice. “Do you want to change seats? It’s not that I don’t allow it, but your deskmate… Tang Wan… she’s a bit… unusual. I’m worried you might be affected.”

Jiao Tong replied calmly, “It’s fine. I’m not afraid.”

Affected?

He had transferred classes precisely because of her.

Seeing his stubborn attitude, the teacher frowned slightly but relented. “Alright. If you ever want to change seats, just let me know.”

Another one who doesn’t believe it, the teacher thought. Give it some time—you’ll understand just how… destructive she is.

“Mm,” Jiao Tong nodded, then returned to the classroom.

The moment he sat down, Tang Wan leaned closer with a smile. “Did the teacher tell you I’m dangerous and suggest you change seats?”

Jiao Tong glanced at her. “You’re quite self-aware.”

“Of course! But if you hadn’t come, I was planning to transfer to your class anyway,” Tang Wan said.

Jiao Tong looked at her skeptically. “You think you could get in?”

He used to be in Class One—the elite class. Entry required actual grades; money alone wouldn’t help.

It wasn’t that he doubted her entirely…

But she ranked last in Class Three.

With those grades, transferring into Class One?
