Chapter 550:The Lonely Top Student 13
The afternoon passed quickly.
After school, Jiao Tong didn’t leave by bus. Instead, he consciously waited downstairs for Tang Wan.
The moment Tang Wan saw him, she broke into a bright smile. “Tongtong, I’m here!”
Jiao Tong was slightly dazed by her radiant expression, then replied calmly, “Mm. Let’s go.”
He turned and walked toward the bike shed.
As the two left together, the surrounding students immediately began whispering again.
At that moment, a long-haired boy called out, “Jiao Tong! Why are you with the ‘King of Destruction’? Come play basketball with us!”
Beside him stood two other boys—one in a basketball jersey with a buzz cut, and another with a sunny, handsome face: Wen Chuan.
Hearing the nickname, Wen Chuan nudged him lightly. “Don’t call girls names like that.”
The long-haired boy curled his lips. “I didn’t make it up—everyone calls her that!”
Tang Wan heard everything but didn’t care.
Jiao Tong glanced at the long-haired boy indifferently. “I’m busy. You go ahead. I’m taking her home.”
Then he looked at Tang Wan. “Let’s go. Ignore them.”
“Okay,” Tang Wan nodded, following him toward the school gate.
The long-haired boy scratched his head as he watched them leave. “Did the sun rise in the west today? He actually volunteered to send a girl home… and it’s the school’s ‘Destruction King’ at that.”
Wen Chuan casually slung an arm around his neck. “Maybe that’s his type. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean he doesn’t.”
The long-haired boy nodded. “Fair enough. Still, with so many girls chasing him, I didn’t expect him to pick the school’s unluckiest girl.”
“Forget it,” the boy holding the basketball said. “If he’s not coming, let’s go before the court gets taken.”
“Right, let’s move!” the long-haired boy agreed.
Meanwhile, Tang Wan was already sitting on the back seat of the bicycle, holding her schoolbag carefully.
She didn’t dare touch Jiao Tong at all—what if she accidentally brushed his waist and caused something to… break?
Ten minutes later, they returned to the residential complex.
“Tongtong, want to exchange numbers?” Tang Wan asked. “If anything happens, call me. I live in Unit 6, Room 606.”
Jiao Tong nodded. “Unit 11, 1101.”
“Got it.”
After exchanging numbers, Tang Wan secretly made a V-sign in her heart, then waved. “I’ll head back first!”
“Mm.”
After she left, Jiao Tong slowly walked toward his building.
A thought lingered in his mind—
Normally, by this time, the soul of the Jiao family’s son would already be interfering with him.
But today… there had been no movement at all.
Could it be—
that the water Tang Wan gave him during the day had actually worked?
