Chapter 535:#007 the Killer King 35
“But didn’t you just say Jinkela never leaves traitors alive?” Dr. Kara asked cautiously.
He had assumed Hei
Tong would be executed on the spot.
Dr. Tang glanced at
him indifferently. “Jinkela does not spare traitors—but Hei Tong is an
exception. He is the only one among all the killers who survived genetic
modification perfectly.”
“Erase his memory.
Reinstill loyalty. He’ll continue working for me as before.”
But even she hadn’t
expected that he would value an artificial human so much.
Thinking of this, Dr.
Tang’s gaze shifted toward Tang Wan.
Tang Wan had no
emotional system.
Hei Tong technically
did—but after repeated conditioning, it was almost nonexistent.
And yet, the two of
them had developed feelings?
Dr. Tang frowned
slightly.
Tang Wan’s heart
tightened.
This is bad.
If Tong Tong’s memory
was erased… wouldn’t he forget her completely?
What if his
favorability dropped to zero?
Would she have to
start all over again?
For the first time,
she felt a trace of regret.
She had deliberately
pushed Hei Tong into conflict with Dr. Tang—but she hadn’t expected Dr. Tang to
be this ruthless.
At that moment, Little
Cutie’s voice sounded.
“Don’t worry, Host!
The male and female leads have already surrounded Jin Dao!”
Tang Wan’s eyes lit
up. “What?!”
“So they’ll be here in
five minutes! Just hold on!”
“I understand!” Tang
Wan immediately relaxed.
Now she just needed to
stall.
If only Dr. Zhou would
come a little later…
But fate clearly had
other plans.
Two minutes later, an
elderly man wearing gold-rimmed glasses walked in.
Seeing Hei Tong lying
there, he paused briefly, then looked at Dr. Tang. “Doctor, you called for me?”
Dr. Zhou—the only
hypnotist in the lab who knew Dr. Tang’s true identity.
“I need you to
recondition Hei Tong,” Dr. Tang said coldly. “He just betrayed me. And the two
of them… now that they know who I am, erase those memories as well.”
Dr. Kara and Dr. Ha
both tensed.
But neither dared
object.
Sometimes, the more
you knew, the more dangerous it became.
Losing those memories…
might actually be safer.
“Understood.” Dr. Zhou
nodded.
He took out a pocket
watch and began with the two doctors first.
Seeing this, Tang Wan
secretly let out a breath of relief.
Good… this will
take time.
But she couldn’t relax
completely.
If Dr. Tang learned
about the incoming attack, she might eliminate Hei Tong immediately to avoid
future trouble.
She had to act—now.
Letting out another
cry of pain, Tang Wan subtly twisted her wrist against the restraint.
With a quiet snap—
The metal lock broke.
Her scream covered the
sound perfectly.
No one noticed that
her hands were now free.
A few minutes later—
A sharp alarm suddenly
blared throughout the lab.
At the same time, Dr.
Tang’s phone rang.
