Chapter 533:#007 the Killer King 33

Tang Wan looked at Hei Tong with a panicked expression, her face full of helplessness and fear.

Hei Tong’s heart tightened instantly. He turned to Dr. Kara and said in a firm voice, “I’m here. She won’t lose control or hurt anyone. Release her immediately.”

Dr. Kara hesitated. “This…”

At that moment, the lab door opened again.

Dr. Tang walked in.

Seeing her, Hei Tong’s heart sank.

Dr. Tang stepped forward, slightly surprised. “Hei Tong? You’re here?”

“I came to check on Tang Wan,” he replied at once.

Dr. Tang chuckled lightly, clearly misunderstanding his concern. “Don’t worry. I’ve prepared a high-concentration anesthetic. If anything goes wrong, we’ll inject it immediately.”

“But Dr. Kara said anesthesia would damage her brain,” Hei Tong said, his hands clenching unconsciously.

A sense of unease crept deeper into his chest.

Something about today… felt wrong.

Dr. Tang smiled faintly. “Her intelligence is high, but not irreplaceable. If sacrificing her allows us to clone more high-IQ superhumans, it’s worth it.”

Then she turned to Dr. Ha. “Begin. Extract her stem cells first.”

“Understood.” Dr. Ha nodded and walked toward Tang Wan.

Hei Tong’s fists tightened as he stared at her.

Tang Wan looked back at him, her eyes full of pleading—Tong Tong, save me.

But she knew the truth.

Dr. Tang was the leader he had followed for decades. Asking him to betray her for her sake… wasn’t something that would come easily.

She sighed inwardly. “Little Cutie, looks like I’ll have to suffer a bit this time.”

If I want him to break from the organization… this is the only way.

Little Cutie patted her head. “Don’t worry, Host! I’ll protect you! I’ve unlocked a pain-shielding function—just 10 points to activate!”

Tang Wan: Get lost.

Still… having that option wasn’t entirely bad.

By now, Dr. Tang and the others had already pushed Tang Wan into a machine.

Seeing this, Hei Tong opened his mouth—but no words came out.

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to speak.

He knew Dr. Tang too well.

If she realized he had developed feelings for Tang Wan, she would either kill her—or erase his memories.

He couldn’t let Wanwan die.

And he couldn’t bear to lose everything between them.

Meanwhile, Tang Wan, seeing that he remained silent, let her expression fall.

Her face filled with disappointment, as if she couldn’t believe he would abandon her like this.

The sight stabbed into Hei Tong’s heart.

Pain spread through him.

He stepped forward suddenly. “Will extracting stem cells harm her body?”

Dr. Tang narrowed her eyes. “No. Hei Tong, you’re asking too many questions today. Our experiment requires complete silence. You should leave.”

Hei Tong’s hands tightened again.

“…Understood.”

He turned and walked out slowly, each step heavy.

At the doorway, he stopped.

Then he turned back—

Just in time to see Tang Wan’s face twist in pain as the equipment pierced into her body.
