Chapter 532:#007 the Killer King 32
Hearing Hei Tong’s words, Dr. Ha quickly said, “Mr. Hei Tong, don’t worry. We only need a portion of her biological material—it won’t threaten her life. She’s my savior too. You can rest assured.”
Dr. Kara also nodded.
“Yes, at most we’ll draw more of her blood. It won’t affect her life. And with
her intelligence, how could I possibly risk damaging her?”
Hei Tong glanced
coldly at the two of them before speaking. “It’d better be that way. Tang Wan
is the successor I’ve chosen. If anything happens to her because of your
experiment, don’t blame me for reporting this directly to the leader.”
The moment he said
that, Dr. Kara’s expression stiffened. He immediately nodded. “Understood.
There won’t be any problems.”
He had been working
for Jinkela for nearly thirty years.
Yet even now, he had
never met the true leader.
Among everyone he
knew, only Hei Tong had seen that person—and had their full trust.
In practice, Hei Tong
handled most of Jinkela’s internal affairs.
And from what Dr. Kara
had seen, those who got too close to the leader rarely ended well.
Hei Tong gave a slight
nod. “When the experiment begins, I’ll be present. Tang Wan is important to the
organization—no mistakes are allowed.”
“Of course, of
course!” Dr. Kara agreed immediately.
After Hei Tong left,
Dr. Ha couldn’t help asking, “What exactly is the relationship between Mr. Hei
Tong and Tang Wan?”
He still remembered
Hei Tong’s words on the helicopter—you’re mine now.
Dr. Kara replied
without hesitation, “Hei Tong is Jinkela’s top killer. You’ve seen Tang Wan’s
physical capabilities. He intends to train her as his successor.”
Then he snorted
lightly. “A waste of her intelligence, if you ask me. Fortunately, Dr. Tang
stepped in and brought her back.”
Dr. Ha nodded in
realization.
So that was it.
It seemed he had
overthought things. Hei Tong’s words to Tang Wan probably had nothing to do
with feelings—just appreciation for talent.
Soon, Hei Tong
returned to Tang Wan’s room.
He told her
everything, then held her hand firmly. “Don’t worry. I’ll go into the lab with
you in a few days. If anything goes wrong, I’ll get you out immediately.”
Tang Wan leaned
against him and nodded happily. “Mm! As long as I have you, Tong Tong, I’m not
afraid of anything.”
Hei Tong’s heart
softened.
She trusts me this
much…
A faint smile tugged
at his lips, one he didn’t even try to suppress.
Three days later,
after being carefully nourished and monitored, Tang Wan’s physical condition
returned to normal.
That day, she entered
the laboratory with Hei Tong.
Dr. Kara gestured
toward the experimental platform. “Wanwan, lie down here.”
“Okay.” Tang Wan
climbed up obediently and lay down.
But the next moment,
several metal restraints suddenly locked into place, securing her firmly to the
platform.
Hei Tong’s expression
darkened instantly. “What are you doing?”
Dr. Kara quickly
explained, “Mr. Hei Tong, don’t worry. We’re going to extract stem cells from
her. The process may be painful. If she resists, we won’t be able to control
her. This is just to prevent accidents.”
His tone was calm.
But the restraints
told a very different story.
