Chapter 525:#007 the Killer King 25

Just as Hei Tong was about to leave for another room, Tang Wan suddenly grabbed a strand of his hair.

Like a child clutching onto her mother, she held onto it tightly even in her sleep.

Hei Tong was momentarily at a loss.

Am I supposed to cut my hair again…?

But when he saw her pale face, his expression softened. He carefully took off his shoes and lay down beside her.

Because of the injury on the back of her right leg, Tang Wan was lying on her side. This made it so that when Hei Tong lay down, they were face to face.

Looking at her delicate, peaceful face, Hei Tong couldn’t help but recall everything that had happened since they met.

Dr. Kara had said she had no emotional system.

Yet she had given him something that felt unmistakably like passionate affection.

The cold lines of his face softened unconsciously. Hei Tong leaned a little closer, approaching her pale lips.

After a light kiss, he suddenly found himself unwilling to pull away.

He wanted more.

But seeing her current condition, he suppressed the impulse and gently tucked the blanket around her.

After watching her quietly for a while, he closed his eyes as well.

The next morning, when Hei Tong woke up, he found Tang Wan curled into his arms like a little squirrel.

Perhaps sometime during the night, he had unconsciously pulled her into his embrace.

Whoever had done it, he didn’t dislike the result.

He lowered his head and gently brushed the top of her hair, a faint smile appearing on his lips.

At that moment, Tang Wan woke up.

Seeing herself nestled in his arms, her eyes lit up. She looked up at him brightly. “Tong Tong!”

Her smile seemed to pour warmth straight into his chest.

Though his expression remained faint, his voice softened slightly. “Awake? Hungry?”

Tang Wan nodded immediately, then stared at him with a grin. “Hungry. But if Tong Tong kisses me, I won’t feel so hungry anymore!”

He knew she was saying it on purpose, yet he still felt a trace of satisfaction.

What came out of his mouth, however, was far less gentle.

“Can a kiss fill you up?” he said, pushing her lightly aside as he got out of bed.

“Of course! Haven’t you heard? Beauty can be a meal! Tong Tong, one kiss from you is better than food for me!” Tang Wan insisted.

Hei Tong suddenly turned back to look at her.

“Really?”

“Really!” Tang Wan nodded seriously.

Looking at her pure, earnest face, something in Hei Tong stirred.

In the next moment, he stepped forward.

This time, it was no longer a fleeting touch or a restrained gesture.

Instead of holding back like before, he leaned in with a firm, decisive kiss.

Just as Tang Wan thought he had finally stopped holding back, she heard him chuckle softly by her ear.

“Then you don’t need breakfast. You should be full now, right?”

Tang Wan: …

Seriously?!

Before she could respond, her stomach growled loudly.

Hei Tong paused—then couldn’t help but let out a low laugh.

Tang Wan: …
