Chapter 517:#007 the Killer King 17
What Hei Tong didn’t say was that he had no intention of teaching her anymore.
When he first brought
Tang Wan here, he had planned to train her into Jinkela’s number one killer.
But after witnessing her terrifying learning ability, he no longer dared to
continue.
It wasn’t that he
feared being surpassed.
He feared that one
day, she might lose control—and cause irreparable damage.
After hearing Hei
Tong’s words, Tang Wan simply nodded. “Oh.”
She took off her
gloves and tossed them aside. Then she touched her stomach.
“Tong Tong, I’m
hungry.”
Hei Tong glanced at
her. “Tell the chef to prepare food for you. I’m going upstairs to shower.”
“I’ll go with you!”
Tang Wan said immediately.
The veins on Hei
Tong’s forehead twitched.
“No. Aren’t you
hungry?” he replied flatly.
“Okay.” Tang Wan
nodded, watching as he quickly walked away.
Upstairs, Hei Tong
took a quick shower. Then he took out the medicine box, frowning as he applied
ointment to his arm.
Even though his body
had been specially modified, his arm was still throbbing with pain.
When their fists
collided earlier, it had felt like his blood vessels might burst.
But he couldn’t lose
face—especially since he had told her to use her normal strength.
After applying the
ointment several times, the pain finally eased a little.
Just then, the door
was pushed open.
“Tong Tong, I’m here!”
Hearing her voice, Hei
Tong quickly closed the medicine box, stuffed it into the hidden cabinet beside
the bed, and hastily pulled on his shirt, covering his arm.
When Tang Wan walked
in, she saw him sitting on the bed, looking as calm and indifferent as ever.
“Done eating?” Hei
Tong asked.
“Mm.”
She sniffed the air.
“Huh? Tong Tong, why does it smell like medicine? Are you sick?”
Hei Tong’s heart
skipped.
Right… her sense of
smell is ridiculously sharp now.
But his expression
remained steady. “No. I bumped my leg while showering and applied some
ointment.”
“Oh.” Tang Wan let out
a sigh of relief. “I thought I hurt you and you were secretly applying
medicine! Good thing it’s not my fault.”
Hei Tong: …
Can you not sound
so relieved?
Buttoning his shirt
calmly, Hei Tong said, “I have something to do this afternoon. Stay here and
continue training.”
Tang Wan immediately
asked, “What are you going to do? I’ll come with you!”
If I remember
correctly, he’s going to meet that doctor… and run into another organization.
He’ll end up seriously injured because he’s outnumbered—and then get saved by
the female lead…
“No,” Hei Tong refused
without hesitation.
She had been in the
lab since birth and had only come here because of him. She had never seen the
outside world.
What if she gets
drawn to it… starts craving freedom like those traitors?
With her intelligence,
if she chose to leave, there was no guarantee they could ever find her again.
Tang Wan immediately
grabbed his arm. “No, I want to go with you! I promise I’ll listen to you,
okay?”
Her tone softened as
she blinked up at him with clear, innocent eyes.
