Chapter 469: The Pure-Clad Dark Heir 19
At that moment, Jiang Yuantong looked at Tang Wan and said, “Madam, now you know it’s me, don’t you?”
Tang Wan let out a
cold laugh.
She sat down calmly
and looked at him. “Keep pretending. I’ve only been married for two days, but I
already know what kind of person Tongtong is. You may have the same face—but
your temperament is completely different.”
“Is that so?” Jiang
Yuantong raised a brow. “Then tell me—which one do you prefer?”
He didn’t believe she
would truly choose to spend her life with a fool.
Could a fool give her
the same intensity a normal man could?
Tang Wan took a sip of
water before replying calmly, “The one I like is, of course, my
husband—Tongtong.”
“You like a fool?” he
pressed.
“A fool?” Tang Wan
scoffed. “Who said my husband is foolish? He has a pure heart, and he treats me
with care and devotion. Even with his flaws, he’s better than most men in this
world.”
Jiang Yuantong’s
expression shifted slightly.
Was that truly how she
saw him?
“Then what about me?”
he asked, his tone sharpening. “I was the one with you last night—not that
‘innocent’ version of me. He can’t give you what I can.”
Tang Wan glanced at
him, unimpressed. “My Tongtong is capable enough. As long as I guide him, we’ll
naturally grow closer. I don’t need you.”
His face darkened
instantly.
Though both versions
were him… why did it feel like he was being compared—and losing—to his own
“simpler” self?
A flicker of
irritation crossed his eyes.
The next moment, he
stepped toward her.
“What are you doing?”
Tang Wan asked, her gaze steady.
“I’m going to show
you,” he said, voice low, “that I’m far better than him.”
Before she could
react, he pulled her up and carried her toward the bed.
…
Time passed.
When it was over, Tang
Wan lay there, exhausted.
Jiang Yuantong looked
at her, a faint, knowing smile on his lips.
“See? Your body tells
the truth more honestly than your words.”
Tang Wan narrowed her
eyes.
Then, deliberately,
she said, “Who exactly are you? You’re just using Tongtong’s body.”
Jiang Yuantong’s smile
deepened.
“You’re very
perceptive, Madam.”
He hadn’t expected her
to figure it out so quickly.
After all, during the
day, he had no memory of his actions at night.
Logically, she
shouldn’t have noticed anything.
And yet—
She had.
Tang Wan glared at
him. “Just wait. I won’t let this go.”
“I’ll be waiting,” he
replied lightly.
…
Eventually, she
drifted off to sleep from sheer exhaustion.
Jiang Yuantong pulled
her into his arms, his expression softening slightly.
See you tomorrow
night…
…
The next morning—
When Tang Wan woke,
Jiang Yuantong was lying beside her, watching her closely.
The moment she opened
her eyes, his face lit up.
“Madam, you’re awake!”
Seeing his innocent
expression, Tang Wan immediately recalled everything from the night before.
Her gaze sharpened.
“Tongtong… do you
remember what happened last night?”
