Chapter 465: The Pure-Clad Dark Heir 15

The Lin Prince was more than happy for Tang Wan and Jiang Yuantong to wake up late.

After all, the later they rose, the more it suggested his grandson had worked hard the night before—and the greater his hopes for a great-grandchild.

When the two arrived, the old prince immediately sat upright, smiling. “No need for formalities.”

He handed Tang Wan a large red envelope, then gestured to the old steward beside him to open a small box.

“Granddaughter-in-law, from today onward, you are the mistress of the Lin residence. These are the keys and account books—leave the household management to you.”

Tang Wan smiled and accepted them. “Thank you, Grandfather. I will manage the household diligently and not disappoint your trust.”

The Lin Prince waved his hand. “No need to be overly frugal. Our household may not be as prosperous as before, but we are not lacking for now. Buy whatever you like. As long as you’re happy—and give me a great-grandchild soon—that’s enough.”

Tang Wan’s lips twitched slightly, but she nodded. “Yes, Grandfather.”

At the side, Jiang Yuantong looked delighted.

The lady had promised to give him a baby!

After the tea ceremony, Tang Wan withdrew first, while Jiang Yuantong was held back.

Once she was out of earshot, the Lin Prince leaned in and asked in a low voice, “Tongtong, did what Grandfather taught you work?”

Jiang Yuantong recalled Tang Wan’s earlier warning and nodded instinctively. “It worked.”

He wasn’t about to complain.

Seeing him nod so confidently, the old prince coughed lightly, then resumed a serious expression.

“As long as it works. From now on, keep treating her like last night until she’s carrying your child. I’ll have the kitchen prepare more tonics for you.”

Jiang Yuantong nodded obediently.

“Good, good. Now go back and spend time with your wife. Remember—women need to be praised and coaxed. If she’s unhappy, buy her pretty jewelry and fine clothes. Don’t make her angry, or you’ll suffer for it,” the Lin Prince instructed earnestly.

Jiang Yuantong nodded firmly.

Grandfather was absolutely right.

If the lady got upset, she would definitely be fierce again!

“I understand, Grandfather!”

“That’s my smart grandson. Go on now.”

“Mm! I’m going to find my lady!”

“Go,” the Lin Prince said, looking satisfied.

Privately, he felt quite pleased—his careful “guidance” before the wedding had not been in vain.

When Jiang Yuantong returned to their courtyard, Tang Wan was sitting with the account books.

He immediately walked over and took out a golden hairpin, offering it to her.

“Madam, this is for you!”

Tang Wan glanced at the ornament, then smiled and accepted it. “Thank you, husband.”

She couldn’t help thinking that this “simple” husband of hers actually knew how to please people.

Seeing her smile, Jiang Yuantong visibly relaxed.

Though his mind was childlike, his sense of emotions was sharp.

The next moment, he looked at her expectantly.

“Then… should Madam reward me?”
