Chapter 45: Diablo 42

Seeing how happy Tang Wan was for him, Tang Yitong finally felt the joy of becoming the provincial champion.

At that moment, Tang Wan stepped forward and pulled at his sleeve, tilting her head as she asked hesitantly, “Tongtong, do you think you should choose Jinda or Yinda?”

Originally, she hadn’t planned on letting Tongtong attend either prestigious university.

But with how talented he was, it would be a waste of his genius brain not to.

Hearing Tang Wan’s words, Tang Yitong curled his lips slightly.

“I’ll go wherever you go.”

“Really?” Tang Wan looked up at him.

Only then did she realize that Tang Yitong had grown even taller, to the point where she now had to tilt her head up to look at him.

“Of course.”

“What if I didn’t do well on the exams?”

“It doesn’t matter,” Tang Yitong replied calmly. “Any university is the same to me.”

As long as you’re there, it’ll be the best school.

After hearing this, Tang Wan immediately smiled brightly.

“I think I did pretty well. I’ll definitely get in!”

Afterward, she urged Tang Yitong to hurry and pack so they could return home.

News that Tang Yitong had become the provincial top scorer quickly reached Tang Wansong’s ears.

Tang Wansong was completely stunned when several old friends looked at him enviously and congratulated him for raising such an outstanding son.

After asking his secretary to investigate, he discovered that Tang Yitong had actually become the provincial champion.

For a moment, Tang Wansong genuinely wondered whether the Tang family’s ancestral graves had started smoking.

That timid, useless son who barely spoke had actually brought home a provincial champion title?

Only then did Tang Wansong realize that ever since Tang Wan moved out, he had never bothered to check on how the two of them were doing.

So he immediately postponed his meeting and personally drove over to their residence.

Just as he arrived downstairs, Tang Wan happened to be getting out of the car.

Seeing her, Tang Wansong quickly stepped out of his own vehicle.

“Wan Wan!”

Hearing his voice, Tang Wan raised an eyebrow slightly.

“Why are you here?”

Tang Wansong looked at her with mixed emotions.

He hadn’t seen Tang Wan in over a year. Her temperament had changed dramatically.

But what caught his attention even more was the tall, handsome young man standing beside her.

“Where’s Tongtong? Is this your boyfriend?” Tang Wansong asked.

Tang Wan’s expression instantly darkened.

Meanwhile, Tang Yitong secretly became delighted.

Even this old man thought he looked like Wan Wan’s boyfriend. Didn’t that mean other people would think the same too?

“He is Tongtong,” Tang Wan said through gritted teeth.

The moment she said that, Tang Wansong immediately looked awkward.

He truly hadn’t recognized him.

Back when Tang Yitong left home, he still looked thin and underdeveloped. Who would’ve thought he’d change this much in just over a year?

“Ah… Tongtong.” Tang Wansong quickly corrected himself. “Dad heard you became the provincial champion. Why didn’t you tell the family about such a huge matter? Come on, let’s go home first instead of standing here.”

His tone was extremely enthusiastic.

In Tang Wansong’s eyes, since Tang Yitong could become the provincial top scorer, it meant his brain was excellent. In the future, the Tang family would have another capable successor.

Tang Yitong, however, only looked toward Tang Wan.

Seeing this, Tang Wan smiled faintly.

“Dad, I already said before—so long as Zhao Xia stays in that house, I won’t return.”

Then she suddenly changed the topic.

“Oh right. My eighteenth birthday is in a few days. You haven’t forgotten, have you?”

Of course Tang Wansong remembered.

He had practically been dreaming about this day.

“How could Dad forget?” he said immediately. “Dad will definitely prepare a grand coming-of-age gift for you.”

“There’s no need for that.” Tang Wan smiled faintly. “I only care about the shares. You should already know that.”

Then she continued, “You can have the lawyer prepare the transfer agreement now. But I have one condition.”

“What condition?” Tang Wansong asked at once.

“Give me fifty million. From that moment onward, the Tang family shares will have nothing to do with me. And Tang Yitong will also lose all rights to inherit Tang family assets.”

Tang Wansong agreed without even blinking.

“Okay! Dad promises you!”

Although fifty million was a lot of money, it was absolutely worth it if he could exchange it for the shares in Tang Wan’s hands.

Afterward, he didn’t stay any longer and hurried back to the company to have the lawyers prepare the contracts immediately.
