Chapter 30: Diablo 27

“My life is worthless anyway. If I can drag a few of you down to the underworld with me, wouldn’t that be worth it?” Tang Yitong said quietly.

“Don’t! Calm down! You absolutely have to calm down!”

“Yeah, yeah! We were just joking with you!”

“We’ll apologize, okay?!”

Several boys hurriedly spoke, their voices trembling.

As the saying goes, the fierce fear the reckless, and the reckless fear the desperate.

And right now, Tang Yitong looked exactly like someone desperate enough to kill.

There was no way they wouldn’t back down.

Seeing them retreat, Tang Yitong casually put away the folding knife in his hand.

In truth, he had always carried this knife with him.

Back when Tang Wan constantly bullied him, he had countless times wanted to stab this knife directly into her heart.

But he endured it.

Fortunately, he held back.

Otherwise...

How could there possibly be a chance for them to reconcile now?

After returning to his seat, Tang Yitong carefully placed the pastries into his desk drawer, warmth filling his heart.

Tang Wan had specially bought these for him because she was worried he would go hungry again.

...

After school that afternoon, Tang Wan walked while carrying her schoolbag in one hand and texting Tang Yitong with the other, telling him to wait for her at the school gate.

Meanwhile, Yun Nuan and Lu Rongrong had already left the classroom ahead of her.

The moment Tang Wan reached the school entrance, Lu Rongrong suddenly exclaimed excitedly:

“Brother! You’re back?!”

Hearing this, Tang Wan subconsciously looked up.

She immediately saw a tall and handsome young man standing beside a black car.

He had an elegant scholarly aura about him, and he was currently waving toward Lu Rongrong with a gentle smile.

This was naturally the male lead—Lu Yi.

However, after only glancing at Lu Yi for a few seconds, Tang Wan instead shifted her gaze toward Yun Nuan.

Sure enough—

Even from over ten meters away, Tang Wan could clearly see the shy expression on Yun Nuan’s face.

It was obvious she had fallen for Lu Yi at first sight.

Seeing this, Tang Wan slightly raised her eyebrows.

At that moment, however, a thin figure suddenly stepped in front of her.

“I’m here,” Tang Yitong said quietly while looking at her.

Only then did Tang Wan snap back to her senses.

Then she smiled.

“Come on, let’s go home.”

Tang Yitong nodded silently.

But after Tang Wan turned around, he suddenly glanced back toward Lu Yi.

Who was that person?

Why had Wanwan stared at him for so long?

Did she like that type of boy?

Tang Yitong didn’t dare ask any of those questions.

Still, darkness quietly flashed through his eyes.

No matter who that man was...

Nobody was allowed to steal Wanwan away from him.

...

After arriving home, Tang Yitong naturally went to cook dinner.

After they finished eating, Tang Wan deliberately asked:

“Do you want me to tutor your homework?”

“Okay!” Tang Yitong immediately agreed, secretly overjoyed.

Tang Wan was instantly speechless.

She had only asked casually.

But since Tang Yitong already agreed, she naturally had to keep her word.

And during the tutoring session, Tang Wan once again experienced firsthand just how terrifying this guy’s acting skills were.

This big villain clearly understood everything perfectly, yet he still deliberately pretended not to know how to solve problems.

If she didn’t already know he was secretly a top student, she might truly have believed he was an academic failure.

Still, thanks to the tutoring session, the relationship between the two grew even closer.

After ten o’clock, Tang Wan finally said:

“Alright, it’s getting late. You can’t improve your studies overnight anyway. Drink some milk and go to bed early.”

“Okay,” Tang Yitong obediently nodded.

After Tang Wan left the room, he quietly picked up the pen she had just used.

The pen still retained a trace of her warmth.

Tang Yitong rubbed it in his hand for a long while before finally putting it down.
