Chapter 250: The Yandere Demon Lord 4

Lin Tongyin sneered inwardly when he heard Tang Wan’s words.

Heh.

Good intentions?

Back when she threw him into the beast forest behind the mountain, she had said the same thing.

When she whipped him until his skin split open, she had also said the same thing.

He wouldn’t believe a single word from her.

Who knew what scheme she was plotting now by suddenly pretending to apply medicine to him?

Seeing that Lin Tongyin’s favorability remained completely unchanged, Tang Wan couldn’t help sighing inwardly.

This little ancestor really was difficult to win over.

But now that she suspected he might truly be the same person as her previous Tongtong…

There was absolutely no way she would give up.

There was still plenty of time ahead.

After the medicinal ointment on Lin Tongyin’s back fully dried, Tang Wan carefully pulled his clothes back into place.

Then, relying on the original owner’s memories, she awkwardly cast a cleansing spell to erase every trace of ointment from his skin, making it seem as though no one had come at all.

Only after she finally left did Lin Tongyin slowly open his eye.

He cautiously reached back and touched the wounds on his back.

The injuries that had originally burned with pain were now unexpectedly cool and healed.

Lin Tongyin’s fingers tightened slightly.

Tang Wan…

Do you really think the same trick will fool me twice?

Your gentleness is nothing but an illusion.

I’ll never be deceived by you again.

Thinking this, he slowly lay back down.

Perhaps because the pain in his wounds had eased, and perhaps because he truly hadn’t rested properly in far too long—

This time, he quickly fell asleep.

The next morning.

When Lin Tongyin woke up again, the sun was already high in the sky.

Seeing the dazzling sunlight outside the window, his expression changed instantly, his face turning even paler.

It was over.

He had overslept.

Now Tang Wan would definitely have another excuse to torture him even more severely.

A trace of despair surfaced in his remaining eye as his fists clenched tightly.

Why was heaven so cruel to him?

Why give him such a beautiful, immortal-like master…

Only for her heart to be blacker than demons?

Just then, Tang Wan’s voice sounded from outside the door.

“Lin Tongyin, are you awake?”

Hearing her voice, Lin Tongyin took a deep breath before opening the door with the expression of someone walking toward execution.

The moment the door opened, he saw Tang Wan standing beneath the sunlight in flowing white robes.

Bathed in golden light, she looked like an immortal untouched by mortal dust, a faint smile resting at the corner of her lips.

But seeing that smile only made Lin Tongyin’s nerves tighten further.

Because every single time Tang Wan punished him—

She smiled like this.

And the gentler her smile appeared, the crueler his punishment became.

Lowering his head, Lin Tongyin slowly walked toward her.

“Master, this disciple was wrong for waking late,” he said quietly. “Please punish me.”

Then he immediately knelt down.

Seeing him kneel the moment he approached, Tang Wan reflexively stepped backward awkwardly.

But she still hadn’t fully stabilized the original owner’s persona yet, so for now she could only maintain appearances.

Thus she merely said calmly:

“Get up.”

“These past few days, you’ve worked hard enough. Starting today, you no longer need to clean the courtyard.”

Hearing this, Lin Tongyin’s heart sank heavily.

No longer needed to clean?

Was she finally preparing to kill him?

But just as that thought surfaced, Tang Wan suddenly flipped her palm.

A sword manual and a long sword appeared in her hand.

“You’ve already spent quite some time at Yunhua Peak,” she said lightly. “It’s time for you to officially begin cultivation.”

“Starting today, you will practice swordsmanship for at least three hours every day. Understood?”

Lin Tongyin froze.

Cultivate?

Tang Wan was actually allowing him to cultivate?

No.

Something was wrong.

How could Tang Wan possibly let him practice properly?

There had to be something wrong with this sword manual.

Thinking this, Lin Tongyin instead relaxed slightly.

Then he immediately accepted the sword manual with a respectful expression.

“Thank you, Master.”
