Chapter 214: The Abstinent Gigolo 14

Tang Wan nodded after hearing this.

“I understand. Don’t worry about me. Just focus on your exam.”

“Mm.” Xi Jingtong nodded lightly.

The next morning, Xi Jingtong left early.

Actually, transferring majors wasn’t particularly difficult for someone like him.

As long as his academic scores met the requirements and he passed the transfer assessment, there wouldn’t normally be any issues.

But Xi Jingtong’s situation was different.

His grades were exceptionally outstanding.

The problem was his psychological evaluation.

According to the test results, he possessed extremely weak physical desires and abnormal levels of self-restraint. At the same time, he clearly had certain psychological issues—but had concealed them very deeply.

After all, geniuses and madmen were often separated by only a thin line.

So once Xi Jingtong’s evaluation results came out, the department immediately took them seriously and decided to conduct an additional assessment.

Otherwise, if a future psychological expert turned into a psychopath instead, the consequences would be disastrous.

At the start of the assessment, the instructors’ questions were fairly ordinary.

But ten minutes later, one of the older professors looked at Xi Jingtong seriously and asked, “Although you hide it well, I can tell that you’re suppressing your physical desires and instinctively rejecting women. Can you tell me why?”

A normal young man his age would never behave the way Xi Jingtong did.

The professor was worried that this rejection might eventually twist into hostility toward women—and if someone with Xi Jingtong’s intellect developed dangerous tendencies, the damage could be terrifying.

People who understood psychology deeply were often the hardest to detect once they became villains.

Hearing the professor’s question, Xi Jingtong replied calmly, “Yes. It’s because I have a physical defect. I’m afraid of being looked down on by women, so over time, I developed the habit of avoiding them altogether.”

The moment those words fell, the instructors were stunned.

So that was the reason?

Several of them instinctively revealed traces of sympathy in their eyes.

At that moment, Xi Jingtong spoke again coldly:

“I don’t need your pity. Please don’t look at me like that.”

The instructors immediately looked embarrassed.

“Sorry,” one of them said awkwardly. “We crossed a professional line.”

Then the older professor looked at Xi Jingtong and nodded.

“You can report to class tomorrow. And regarding your privacy, don’t worry. No one here will disclose it.”

If even a psychology department couldn’t protect a student’s privacy, then they weren’t qualified to teach psychology in the first place.

“Thank you.”

Xi Jingtong stood up, bowed slightly, and left the classroom.

After he was gone, one of the instructors finally turned toward the older professor.

“Professor Li, why did you accept him?” he asked hesitantly. “He may be brilliant, but teaching someone like him is dangerous too. He clearly has psychological issues.”

Professor Li’s expression remained serious.

“It’s better to guide him properly than leave him to figure everything out alone.”

The other instructors immediately fell silent in understanding.

Just as Xi Jingtong walked out of the teaching building, a girl suddenly came rushing toward him.

Seeing that she was about to crash into him, Xi Jingtong instinctively stepped aside.

The girl brushed past him—and immediately fell to the ground with a loud thud.

“Ah! That hurts!” the girl cried out.

But Xi Jingtong didn’t even spare her a glance. He simply walked past her and continued forward.

Seeing this, the girl immediately became furious.

“Stop right there!”

She quickly scrambled up and ran after him angrily.

“Do you even have basic manners? Didn’t you see someone fall down?!”

The girl had a round face with cute features, large bright eyes like black grapes, and an energetic, lively appearance.

At that moment, she glared at Xi Jingtong furiously.

But Xi Jingtong only gave her four cold words.

“What’s it got to do with me?”

He hadn’t even blamed her for nearly crashing into him first.

After saying that, he bypassed her again and continued walking forward.
