Chapter 153: Diabolical CV Big Shot 2
After finishing the key plot details concerning the villain, Tang Wan couldn't help but feel worried.
"Little Cutie, he's not a pervert, is he?" Tang Wan asked anxiously.
She remembered that people with a diabolical personality usually possessed sadomasochistic, perverted mindsets!
Wasn't this just digging a pit for her?!
She had zero interest in being tamed or trained into submission.
Hearing this, Little Cutie looked at her with a guilty conscience. "Host, probably not?"
"Probably not?" Tang Wan looked at it with deep suspicion.
"I'm not entirely sure either. Anyhow, just take it one step at a time! A mission is here!" Little Cutie hastily changed the subject.
These mission worlds were randomly selected in the first place. Drawing a world like this wasn't something it could control, right?
It then said to Tang Wan, "Current mission: Woo the villain, Yang Tong, and successfully prevent him from torturing and murdering his stepmother's family."
…
Hearing the mission, Tang Wan sighed in her heart.
Hard!
Truly hard!
This was practically harder than convincing Feng Qitong to give up burying twenty thousand surrendered Zhao soldiers alive!
According to the original plot, the reason the villain, Yang Tong, had two distinct faces was because he had suffered abuse from his stepmother when he was young.
Whenever his father was around, the stepmother always put on a gentle, motherly facade. Behind closed doors, however, she beat and scolded him, even putting on a live show of her affairs with her lover right in front of him. After his father passed away, in order to secure the Yang family inheritance for her own son, she even broke into his bedroom in the middle of the night to murder him.
Yang Tong had escaped by jumping from the second-floor balcony and fleeing to the city where he currently resided.
In the end, though, he was still tracked down by his stepmother.
By then, however, Yang Tong was no longer the weak, frail youth he had been ten years ago.
Cruelly yet with absolute composure, he tortured and slaughtered his stepmother’s entire family, meticulously disposing of their corpses afterward. The case remained hidden until the female lead eventually uncovered his secret, bringing the truth to light.
Ultimately, Yang Tong was executed by firing squad.
…
Just as Tang Wan finished sighing, the staff member in front called out to her, "Number 10, it's your turn."
"Coming!" Tang Wan responded instinctively.
The moment she opened her mouth, her own voice gave her goosebumps all over!
Holy crap!
Is this my voice?!
Why is it so sickeningly sweet and coy?!
The second she spoke, it sounded like she was acting spoiled and clingy!
Shivering all over, Tang Wan stepped into the recording studio.
Four judges—two men and two women—sat at the judge's table.
Among the two men, one was the male lead, Gu Yunshen, and the other was the villain, Yang Tong.
Tang Wan quickly darted her eyes over the two.
The male lead and the villain possessed completely different temperaments.
Gu Yunshen truly lived up to his status as a young master raised by a wealthy household, carrying an inherent air of pride and nobility. Sitting there, his demeanor was immaculate, elegant, and refined.
However, Tang Wan didn't want to pay much attention to the male lead, so her focus settled heavily on Yang Tong's face instead.
A single glance revealed that Yang Tong matched his description in the plot—he had narrow, long phoenix eyes and wore gold-rimmed glasses. He appeared refined and scholarly, yet exuded a thick aura of ascetism that practically begged people to tear his clothes off.
Before she could take a closer look, Gu Yunshen fixed his gaze on her with a profound expression. Wearing a face that suggested he didn't even recognize her, he said in a strictly businesslike manner, "Let's begin."
"Oh." Recovering her composure, Tang Wan picked up the script she had prepared and began reading.
…
"...You hypocrite! I would rather die than marry you!"
"You refined beast, let go of me! Ah! What are you trying to do?"
What the original host had prepared was a line from Nightingale where the female lead was almost forced upon by the villain.
This scene was supposed to portray the female lead's unyielding spirit of defiance. Yet when Tang Wan read it out, it sounded entirely like a flirtatious game of playing hard to get!
Setting aside the expressions of the surrounding staff, even Tang Wan herself felt another round of goosebumps breakout as she read along.
At this moment, the male lead, Gu Yunshen, knitted his brows tightly together and called a halt. "Enough!"
