Chapter 147: The Goth School Heartthrob 45
Picking up his phone, Liu Shutong called a local florist in the city and ordered 999 red roses, arranging for them to be delivered in advance to the hotel room he had reserved.
After pulling off this secret operation, a faint blush crept onto his cheeks. Taking Tang Wan’s hand, he said with a spring in his step, "Wife, let’s go!"
Tang Wan looked at the beaming smile on his face, a fond curve tugging at the corners of her own lips.
When they arrived at the hotel and stepped inside, the first thing that caught Tang Wan's eye were the rose petals carefully arranged into a heart across the bed.
For a moment, a wave of sweetness melted her heart.
She knew that although his family gave him a decent allowance, it was still a limited sum. To buy so many roses and book a room at the finest hotel in the city must have taken months of careful saving.
Even if he grew immensely wealthy in the future and showered her with grander surprises, she was certain that none would leave as indelible an impression as the warmth of today.
Seeing Tang Wan quietly gazing at the room's setup, Liu Shutong grew nervous. "Wife... do you like it?"
Hearing his anxious tone, Tang Wan smiled softly and nodded. "I love it."
Liu Shutong let out a long breath of relief. Stepping forward, he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close as he looked down at her lovely face.
Inside, he kept cheering himself on: *Liu Shutong, when it counts, don't you dare chick out!*
Yet, he couldn't stop the words from slipping out: "Wife, if you want to change your mind, it’s not too late..."
Tang Wan let out a light chuckle. "Tongtong, if you're *this* considerate right now, I just might run away, you know?"
Before her voice could fully fade, Liu Shutong tightened his arms around her waist, locking her securely in his embrace. His voice turned low and raspy. "Wife, you can't run. Not only am I considerate... I'm also considerate enough to help you undress."
As he spoke, his fingers had already found the zipper at the back of her dress—a smooth, deliberate motion he had rehearsed countless times in his mind
Neither of them returned home that night.
After a night of tossing and turning, Tang Wan finally succumbed to exhaustion in the small hours of the morning and drifted off into a deep sleep.
Liu Shutong, on the other hand, was so wired he couldn't sleep a wink. Like a smitten fool, he lay beside her all night, unable to tear his eyes away from her sleeping face, a goofy grin plastered across his features.
Soft, sweet, and fragrant—he had finally gotten to taste his wife!
When Tang Wan opened her eyes the next morning, the first thing she saw was that silly, radiant face hovering over her.
As her mind slowly cleared, reality set in, and she remembered where they were.
Noticing that she was awake, Liu Shutong immediately reached out to gently support her, propping a soft pillow behind her back.
"Wife, are you sore anywhere? Are you hungry?" he asked with earnest concern.
Tang Wan rubbed her aching lower back and let out a gentle yawn. "My whole body feels sore... and yeah, I'm a little hungry."
"Lie back down for a bit then. I'll go downstairs and buy breakfast right away." Liu Shutong’s eyes lingered on her snow-white chest, where a pair of faint, crimson love bites from the night before still bloomed against her skin.
Tang Wan gave a soft murmur in agreement. Following his gaze downward, she suddenly realized she wasn't wearing a single stitch of clothing.
A delicate blush flushed her cheeks, and she shot him a playful glare. "Haven't you looked enough?"
"How could I ever look enough? A lifetime wouldn't be enough!" Liu Shutong replied instantly without a beat of hesitation.
Reluctantly tearing his eyes away, he slipped on his shoes and headed out to fetch food.
A quarter of an hour later, Liu Shutong returned carrying a bag filled with piping hot breakfast.
After finishing their meal, they prepared to check out before noon.
To their surprise, as soon as they walked down to the lobby, they ran right into Zhang Heng and Lin Wan.
Lin Wan was currently clinging to Zhang Heng’s arm, her face brimming with sweet affection. It was obvious the two of them had also spent the night at this very hotel.
…
The moment Lin Wan spotted Tang Wan and Liu Shutong, the expression on her face froze.
Liu Shutong, however, acted as though he didn't even recognize her. Holding Tang Wan’s hand naturally, he walked straight over to the front desk. "Excuse me, we'd like to check out."
Hearing Liu Shutong's voice, Zhang Heng turned his head, his gaze turning cold and sharp as he glared at him.
"Liu Shutong," Zhang Heng said coldly. "Now that you've brought a girl to a hotel, treat her properly from now on—and stop coveting people who don't belong to you!"
