Chapter 1441: The Blackened Good Girl (76)
The final photo was the one that truly stabbed Lu Jing in the eyes. Around Wu Lingling’s neck hung a necklace.
Lu Jing clenched his teeth hard, pressed his lips together, and balled his fists tightly. Even after the image had disappeared from the screen, the scene kept replaying over and over in his mind.
The necklace in that last photo was one he had given her just last week.
Which meant that picture had been taken within the past week.
And that was enough to determine that all these years, while Wu Lingling enjoyed his love, spent his money, and lived in the home he provided, she had secretly placed one green hat after another on his head behind his back.
He had treasured her in the palm of his hand, treating her like a precious jewel.
Yet she regarded his feelings as garbage, throwing them away whenever she pleased, treating him like a complete fool.
“Lu Jing, listen to me,” Wu Lingling finally came back to her senses. Ignoring her disheveled state and the mocking gazes around her, she hurriedly climbed to her feet.
She threw herself into Lu Jing’s arms and held him tightly, pleading desperately. “Lu Jing, listen to my explanation. It’s not what you think.”
“Then what is it?” Lu Jing’s voice was ice-cold. The girl who had once brought the greatest warmth into his world had vanished.
The moment those photos appeared, every bit of hope in his life had shattered.
“Lu Jing, they forced me. They threatened me. I didn’t do it willingly.” Wu Lingling’s pale face was covered in tears. She was genuinely beautiful, and when she cried, it made people want to pity her.
Had this never happened, seeing her like this would have broken Lu Jing’s heart.
But now, he only felt disgust.
He shoved her away with all his strength.
Wu Lingling never expected him to push so hard. Caught off guard, she fell heavily onto the floor, scraping her palms.
But she had no time to care about that.
Lu Jing’s coldness terrified her.
It was the kind of terror that felt like losing the whole world. She could not lose Lu Jing. She absolutely could not.
His kindness, his indulgence, his doting affection, and his money—those were things she could never afford to lose.
Without Lu Jing, what would become of her future?
“Lingling, there’s no need to explain anymore. I saw everything clearly. If you hadn’t agreed to it, would those photos have turned out like that?”
The crowd nodded in agreement. Those revealing pictures were enough to make their faces burn with embarrassment just from looking at them, yet Wu Lingling had actually dared to take them.
From her body language and expressions, she clearly wasn’t being forced. She had been willing.
No one there was blind. They simply felt that the lives of the wealthy were truly chaotic.
If not for that sudden slideshow, Lu Jing probably never would have discovered that Wu Lingling had been putting green hats on him for so many years.
Just as Wu Lingling was about to say something else, movement appeared on the screen again.
“Brother Dao, I’m pregnant. I already told you before—if we’re going to play around, can’t you at least wear protection?”
It was Wu Lingling’s voice.
“I’ve already had one abortion. Lu Jing and I always take precautions when we’re together, and now I’m pregnant again. It must belong to one of you.”
The crowd exploded in shock.
This… this was truly explosive.
Then a man’s voice sounded.
“How can anyone have fun and enjoy themselves with that thing on? Besides, you didn’t refuse before, did you?”
