Chapter 1415: The Blackened Good Girl (50)
Wu Lingling didn't go far. Instead, she moved to another spot and stopped by a street food stall to buy some snacks.
Lu Jing doted on her now. He wasn't short on money and gave her plenty to spend.
Feeling guilty for the two abortions she had gone through, Lu Jing didn't mind spending money on her.
As a result, Wu Lingling never lacked money and often treated the few delinquent girls around her to good food.
The girls now held large bundles of skewers, eating while casually throwing the bamboo sticks onto the ground. Bones and shells were spat directly onto the pavement.
Even though a trash can stood nearby, it was as if they couldn't see it. They tossed things wherever they pleased.
Because of the way they dressed, no one around them dared to say anything despite their disgust. People simply kept their distance.
Their spot happened to face the school gates.
The moment Tang Guo walked out, she immediately saw Wu Lingling and the other girls stuffing themselves and littering everywhere without the slightest trace of manners.
Host, she's completely fallen.
“But she seems able to bear it, because she was already rotten to begin with. Everything she's gone through only makes her feel a little unhappy.”
Two different people experiencing the same events would bear entirely different burdens.
Wu Lingling's choice had been to give up completely and throw herself into the same mire as those people.
Deep inside, she felt no guilt over her actions. She probably still resented the fact that Tang Guo hadn't answered that phone call.
Wu Lingling also spotted Tang Guo.
For a moment, she froze.
Now nearly eighteen, Tang Guo had grown even more beautiful.
Her face was the very image of a first love.
No matter where she stood, she effortlessly drew countless gazes.
Suddenly, the skewers in Wu Lingling's hand lost all flavor.
Seeing Tang Guo merely glance at her before indifferently getting into the car, Wu Lingling bit her lip, anger rising inside her.
“What are you acting so proud for?”
Wasn't it just because she was prettier and had better grades?
“Big Sister Lingling, why aren't you eating anymore?”
“I've lost my appetite. Just seeing certain people annoys me.”
The other delinquent girls were quick to read the situation and lowered their voices.
“Big Sister Lingling doesn't like Tang Guo, right? She is pretty arrogant, relying on her grades and the school's support.”
“Exactly. I think she's fake and vicious. You have no idea—none of my relatives have ever said anything bad about her. Every time I see them praising her, it makes me furious. They have no idea how hypocritical Tang Guo really is.”
“Big Sister Lingling, if you hate her so much, why not find an opportunity to teach her a lesson? You've got Brother Lu backing you, and you're close with Brother Dao's people. Getting them to help would be easy. They could make her suffer without any trouble.”
Wu Lingling frowned.
“You think I don't want to? She never runs around randomly. She has a driver picking her up every day, and someone always accompanies her when she goes shopping. Besides, her family has connections everywhere. If we provoke her, we might end up being arrested and locked up for a few days. I don't want to sit in a detention cell.”
“Big Sister Lingling, I've thought of a good idea.”
One of the girls' eyes lit up.
“This plan will definitely teach her a lesson. She won't be so smug afterward.”
“What plan?”
“She has such good grades, so she definitely cares a lot about the college entrance exam. Let's think of a way to make sure she can't take it.”
Wu Lingling paused, then quickly broke into a smile.
“Can't take the college entrance exam?”
“That's right.” The girls nodded repeatedly. “Big Sister Lingling, that would count as a harsh lesson, right?”
“It would.”
More than that.
It absolutely would
