Chapter 1398: The Blackened Good Girl (33)

When the police heard the story, they felt that no matter what the person was busy doing, they still needed to take her statement.

Since they learned that the mysterious girl had climbed back into the school, they concluded that she had to be a student there and immediately went in to look for her.

By the time the officers entered the school, Tang Guo had already changed back into her school uniform. Carrying her backpack and wearing her usual pure smile, she happened to walk right past them.

“Student, are you having some kind of cosplay event here?” one officer stopped Tang Guo. “Have you seen a girl dressed in black leather with a face mask? We'd like to ask her a few questions.”

“I don't know. I've been doing homework in the classroom the whole time. Sorry, I can't help you.” Tang Guo smiled shyly, her eyes so clear and innocent that they almost seemed unreal.

“Oh, then we'll ask around some more.” Seeing how late it was, the officer kindly reminded her, “Next time, take your homework home. It's not safe staying this late.”

“Okay, thank you for the reminder. My driver is waiting outside, so please don't worry. I'll definitely be safe.”

After saying goodbye, the officers had no idea that the person they were searching for had just walked right past them.

After searching the school without success, they eventually left.

The moment she got home, Tang Guo received a call from Mother Tang.

“Lingling got into trouble. She's still at the police station. Your Aunt Ruolan has already gone over there. I heard it has something to do with those hoodlums outside.”

Mother Tang felt increasingly fortunate that they had discovered the problem early and had made Tang Guo distance herself from Wu Lingling.

“Mom, what exactly happened?” Tang Guo asked with a slight smile.

Mother Tang said she had only just received a call from Qin Ruolan herself. All she knew was that Wu Lingling was at the police station, that the matter was serious, and that it involved hoodlums. She didn't know anything else.

“Alright, Xiaoguo, finish your homework and get some rest early.”

Although Mother Tang was still out of town and wouldn't personally go to the police station, she knew Qin Ruolan would immediately inform her of any updates.

Tang Guo simply waited for the outcome tomorrow.

The next morning, as soon as she entered the classroom, she heard her classmates whispering among themselves.

“What are you all talking about?”

“Tang Guo, you don't know? Wu Lingling got herself into trouble. Big trouble. This time, she's probably going to be expelled.”

Tang Guo hadn't expected things to become this serious.

But judging by the fact that everyone already knew about it, Miao Rourou's family must have made the matter public.

Besides, every class had group chats these days.

Miao Rourou's parents clearly cared deeply about her.

Information spread so quickly online that even though Wu Lingling was a minor and wouldn't face severe punishment, no parent would want someone like her to continue studying at this school.

“Do you know what Wu Lingling did yesterday afternoon?” one classmate said. “She and those delinquent girls from her group actually dragged their class monitor into a hoodlum's van. If it weren't for some martial arts-loving cosplayer showing up and helping her, who knows what would've happened?”

“That Wu Lingling is really disgusting.”

“Tang Guo, you're cousins. You'd better stay away from her. At this rate, she might target you one day.”

“Don't worry, I hardly have anything to do with her anymore.”

In less than half a day, the entire junior high and senior high departments were discussing the incident.
