Chapter 1389: The Blackened Good Girl (24)

“Mhm. I only realized it after I got home yesterday.”

“Then if your phone was lost, why didn’t you immediately go look for it?”

The onlookers had all assumed that after hearing Tang Guo had lost her phone, Wu Lingling would realize she had misunderstood her and feel apologetic.

Never had they imagined that her first response would be to blame Tang Guo for not immediately searching for it. Just how thick-skinned was she?

“It was already dark when I noticed, and the driver had gone home. Did you expect me, a girl, to run around with a flashlight searching for my phone?” Tang Guo said calmly. “Lingling, did something happen yesterday? Did you call me?”

“Yesterday…” Wu Lingling instantly recalled what had happened and immediately stopped herself.

How could she possibly tell anyone about something like that?

If word got out, her entire life would be ruined.

She couldn't say it. Absolutely couldn't.

If everyone at school found out, how would they look at her?

She should never have come to this school in the first place.

If her mother hadn't insisted that since the tuition for her third year had already been paid, she should at least finish junior high here, she would have transferred schools immediately.

And whose fault was it that her aunt had paid off all her tuition in advance?

And her mother too. If she'd agreed to transfer her immediately, none of that would have happened yesterday.

And Lu Jing. Why had he suddenly stopped answering his phone? If he'd picked up, she wouldn't have gotten into trouble.

And Tang Guo.

Yes, Tang Guo.

If her phone hadn't been lost, she would definitely have answered and brought money to rescue her.

Then she wouldn't have been bullied by those hoodlums. Thinking back to last night, and to the scene she woke up to this morning, she felt herself on the verge of collapse.

Although she acted like a little delinquent, there were still things she cared deeply about.

Besides, the person she liked was Lu Jing. How could she possibly want to fool around with those other hoodlums?

“This is all your fault!”

Wu Lingling glared at Tang Guo with hatred burning in her eyes. “You threw your phone away on purpose, didn't you? It could have gotten lost any day, but it just had to happen yesterday!”

Whatever had happened to her, everyone present found her words shameless.

What did she mean by not earlier or later, but yesterday?

Was Tang Guo supposed to notify her before losing her phone?

Tang Guo wasn't a fortune teller. How could she know Wu Lingling would suddenly have an emergency?

Besides, what did Wu Lingling's affairs have to do with Tang Guo?

“Lingling, losing my phone really wasn't my fault. Tell me, what happened yesterday?” Tang Guo asked kindly.

But Wu Lingling remembered yesterday's events again, and the hatred in her eyes only deepened.

“I'll never forgive you.”

“You just can't stand seeing me happy!”

“Wu Lingling, get out!”

Several fiercer girls in the class had finally had enough of her shamelessness. They rushed over, grabbed Wu Lingling by the hair, and forcibly dragged her outside.

“Shameless! Coming to our class and throwing a tantrum? Tang Guo is an excellent student. Having a relative like you is bad luck accumulated over eight lifetimes!”

These girls were the rough type themselves, but they were different from Wu Lingling. They might fool around, but their grades were still good, otherwise they wouldn't have made it into the elite class.

Some junior high delinquent barging into their classroom and trying to bully one of their good students? No way.

Tang Guo was always patient and kind to them. It wasn't Wu Lingling's place to come here and make a scene.

“Throw her out!”

The class queen waved her hand.
