Chapter 1334: The Mermaid Princess (33)
Glancing at the math textbook beside him, Yin Yao's eyes lit up. "Little mermaid, come up and solve problems."
System: Hahahahahahaha! This guy has single-handedly provided me with an entire year's worth of laughter.
A lifelong bachelor dog!
Young man, you're never going to win a girl over like this.
"Senior, I really don't feel like solving problems right now. Just looking at math problems makes my head spin."
Yin Yao was at a loss.
For some reason, he especially wanted to coax her out of the water today.
He wanted to see her beautiful golden tail up close, hear her chatter away, and watch her eat ice cream.
Unexpectedly, this was a willful fish. Today, she simply didn't seem interested in paying attention to him.
Could it be that all fish were like this? Hot one moment, cold the next, impossible to understand?
Yin Yao fell into deep thought.
However, he no longer tried to lure Tang Guo into his house and instead turned around and went back inside.
System: Host, if you keep teasing him like this, you'll scare him away. Things could backfire.
"It's fine. I'll coax him back next time. He's especially easy to coax. I'm giving him space to think. If we're together all day long, he won't understand who I am."
System: Hmph, this bad woman. You're just bullying him because he's too honest.
Meanwhile, Yin Yao was seated in his study. Several attendants stood respectfully before him.
"Your Highness, you summoned us. What are your orders?"
"Your Highness, we've checked the freezers. They're all fully stocked with ice cream, so there's no need to purchase more for now."
Yin Yao raised his head and asked, "Which of you knows about the merfolk race?"
"The merfolk?"
The attendants immediately thought of the noble little mermaid living next door, who had recently become close to their prince. Their hearts leapt with joy.
Could it be that His Highness had taken a fancy to that mermaid?
That would be wonderful news.
The Sea Emperor would surely be delighted.
"Your Highness, do you wish to learn about the customs of the merfolk?"
Yin Yao nodded. "Are there any books on the subject? Bring me as many as you can. Especially books about their preferences, habits, and temperament."
"Yes, Your Highness. We'll fetch them immediately."
Before long, his desk was piled high with books about the merfolk.
Sitting in his chair, Yin Yao flipped through them one by one.
In just two or three hours, he had finished reading every single volume.
Then he summoned the attendants again.
"Renovate the swimming pool in the villa."
"Your Highness, how should we remodel it?"
"Make it larger. The bigger, the better."
The attendants were baffled.
Why?
Wasn't it already large enough?
"Yes, Your Highness. We'll arrange for workers immediately."
Yin Yao continued, "Send someone to the sea and bring up all the treasures I've collected over the years. Especially the beautiful ones."
The attendants: ???
"Your Highness… all of them?" one attendant asked with a trembling voice. "There are far too many."
"Bring them all."
"As you command."
Well, whatever His Highness said, they would obey.
"Oh, and while you're remodeling the pool, find some attractive rocks and gather beautiful stones to place inside it," Yin Yao suggested. "And replace the water with fresh water every day."
The attendants were dumbfounded.
So what exactly was His Highness trying to do?
"Buy every kind of ice cream available in the human world. If one room isn't enough, prepare another. I don't want a single variety missing."
"Understood, Your Highness."
Now they understood.
Their prince intended to raise that beautiful little mermaid.
Otherwise, why would he enlarge the pool, buy endless ice cream, and even bring up all his treasured collections from the sea?
