Chapter 1330: The Mermaid Princess (29)

They only hoped she would hurry up and win Yin Yao over. More than anything, they wanted to see the icy school prince become deeply devoted to a girl, obeying her every word.

Tang Guo was stunned.

Just what had that fellow Yin Yao done in the past?

System muttered and recounted all the things Yin Yao had done. Naturally, these were stories he had secretly overheard around school. Though fragmented, he managed to piece together the general picture.

By the time Tang Guo finished listening, she was nearly laughing herself to death.

That guy was simply too adorable.

"Ah—!"

A scream from Qiao Chen suddenly drew her attention.

Looking up, she saw Yin Yao standing before him, his fist buried in Qiao Chen's stomach.

With only a single punch, Qiao Chen was unable to endure it any longer. He curled up on the ground, glaring hatefully at the cold and merciless youth before him.

"I won't give up. No matter how much you hit me, I won't abandon A Guoguo."

Yin Yao wasn't angry at all.

He had seen plenty of humans like this who liked to make grand declarations.

If the other party truly dared do anything, a mere flick of his finger would be enough to reduce him to ashes.

"A Guoguo doesn't like you. Don't shamelessly appear before her again. You're not worthy of someone as noble and beautiful as her."

Yin Yao spoke with complete seriousness, his voice indifferent.

Tang Guo: "..."

The students watching: "..."

Did he have to be so blunt? Couldn't he have chosen another reason?

Qiao Chen's eyes widened, veins bulging on his forehead as he gritted his teeth.

"Why?"

He had been reborn.

The heavens had given him another chance so that he could change his fate.

"Because she doesn't like you."

"And what right do you have to interfere?" Qiao Chen sneered. "What are you to her? One day, I'll win A Guoguo's heart. She'll come back to me."

Yin Yao's brows furrowed slightly.

At that moment, Fuya's anxious voice sounded.

"Classmate Yin Yao, please show mercy. I'll take Qiao Chen away immediately."

Though Fuya didn't know Yin Yao's true identity, the pressure radiating from him told her that he belonged to one of the most powerful races among the sea clans.

Provoking him would only bring Qiao Chen suffering.

And this powerful sea clan member seemed to harbor feelings for A Guoguo.

That made her both happy and worried.

Supporting the pale-faced Qiao Chen from the ground, she said, "Qiao Chen, let's go. You can't afford to offend him."

Qiao Chen was unwilling, but he knew there was nothing he could do today. In the end, he allowed Fuya to help him away.

"Yin Yao, I won't give up."

"A Guoguo, one day you'll understand my sincerity."

System: No, she won't. Because you don't have sincerity at all. Deep down, you're nothing but selfish.

Since that incident, Qiao Chen no longer came to bother Tang Guo.

However, every time he saw her, there was always that look in his eyes—as though she already belonged to him.

"Senior, Qiao Chen hates you now."

Tang Guo rode her bicycle, steering with one hand while happily eating an ice cream with the other.

As usual, Yin Yao tossed his schoolbag into the basket. One hand controlled the handlebars, while the other held an unopened ice cream. He continuously infused it with divine power to keep it frozen against the summer heat.

"So what?"

The boy's voice remained as cold as ever, but hidden beneath that coldness was a softness absent whenever he spoke to others.

Turning her head, Tang Guo said seriously, "He'll take revenge on you."

Yin Yao had thought the fish was going to say something important.

He hadn't expected her to be worried about Qiao Chen seeking revenge on him.
