Chapter 1326: The Mermaid Princess (25)
"Good morning, Senior."
Seeing the little mermaid speed up on her bicycle and ride up beside him, greeting him with a brilliant smile, Yin Yao nearly swerved his handlebars.
"Where's your driver?"
"I didn't want to ride in a car, so I decided to cycle instead. Actually, Senior, riding a bicycle like this is good exercise."
Yin Yao said nothing. Expressionless, he pedaled toward the school.
Lying fish!
He didn't even realize that he had unconsciously slowed down today, occasionally glancing back to see whether that fish had caught up.
"Senior, you can ride faster. You don't have to worry about me. I can keep up," Tang Guo kindly reminded him. "If we continue at this snail's pace, we'll be late. Of course, if Senior wants to spend more time with me along the way, then being late is fine too."
The instant she finished speaking, Yin Yao's bicycle seemed to have grown two electric motors. It shot forward at terrifying speed and disappeared in the blink of an eye.
System laughed itself crazy.
Whatever kind of person this fellow originally was, after meeting the Host, sooner or later his character setting would collapse.
"Senior, let's go home together this afternoon."
Yin Yao pursed his lips and carried his schoolbag toward his classroom building.
No.
He refused.
He didn't want to go home together with this gluttonous fish, chatterbox fish, prideful fish, lying fish.
"You'll leave school early, won't you?" Yin Yao suddenly stopped and turned around. "I'll probably stay later, so you don't need to wait for me."
"That's alright." Tang Guo smiled sweetly. "If Senior doesn't mind, I can stay at school and solve problems with you."
System: Who could withstand flirting like this?
"Our schedules are different."
Yin Yao spoke firmly. He didn't want to be led around by this fish anymore. These past two days, something had felt strange, and the problem definitely lay with this fish.
"If we happen to meet after school, we'll go home together. If not, we'll each go our own way."
"Okay, I'll listen to Senior."
Yin Yao finally let out a sigh of relief.
Then he'd simply leave early.
At noon, Tang Guo was eating in the cafeteria.
At some point, Qiao Chen arrived and sat across from her. She merely glanced at him before lowering her head and continuing to eat.
Not long after, Fuya also came over and greeted her.
"A Guoguo."
"Fuya."
"Mhm."
Fuya sat down beside Qiao Chen.
Seeing that Tang Guo paid absolutely no attention to him, Fuya truly felt relieved. A Guoguo genuinely didn't like Qiao Chen.
"Are you free this weekend?" Qiao Chen asked after noticing that Tang Guo was almost done eating.
Tang Guo cast him a disdainful glance. "No."
Then she stood up and walked away without another word.
Qiao Chen was deeply troubled. He had no idea what he should do to win his little mermaid's favor.
"Fuya."
"You're going to ask me how to make A Guoguo like you, aren't you?" Fuya wasn't stupid. "Qiao Chen, I can't help you. Plenty of people have tried to win her affection, but very few have succeeded. Most only end up making her dislike them."
"Then does she have anything she likes?"
"Gemstones and beautiful dresses. She likes both."
After saying that, Fuya saw the thoughtful look in Qiao Chen's eyes, and her own gaze dimmed.
She envied A Guoguo.
To be loved by Qiao Chen…
But she didn't think there was anything wrong with A Guoguo not liking him.
After all, A Guoguo was a golden-tailed mermaid, possessing noble blood. It was perfectly natural for her to look down on ordinary humans with inferior bloodlines.
A Guoguo still didn't understand what love was, which was why she cared so much about bloodlines and races.
And selfishly, Fuya hoped that even when A Guoguo eventually learned what love was, the person she loved would not be Qiao Chen.
