Chapter 1323: The Mermaid Princess (22)

"That person is called Qiao Chen, a thick-skinned and cunning human. He dares harbor thoughts of laying his hands on someone as noble and beautiful as me. So, all of you listen carefully—stop him at all costs and don't let him come one step closer. If he dares do anything excessive, beat him."

"Understood, Third Princess."

Qiao Chen waited outside the villa district, and before long, two burly men emerged.

"Miss A Guoguo doesn't want to see you. Leave."

"I have something very important to tell A Guoguo. I only need to see her once."

The two attendants exchanged a glance and sneered. "She already said she won't see you. Don't you understand human language? Whatever important business you have has nothing to do with Miss A Guoguo. She doesn't know you well either. Take our advice and leave immediately."

"If she won't see me, then I'll wait here." Qiao Chen said stubbornly. He firmly believed that he would eventually move the kind, innocent, and beautiful little mermaid.

"Suit yourself."

Seeing that he wasn't trying to force his way in, the two attendants tossed out those words and turned to leave.

"Then let him wait. You don't need to report anything concerning him to me."

"Understood, Third Princess."

Cradling a bowl of ice cream, Tang Guo made her way to the swimming pool and slipped directly into the water. Her long, slender legs instantly transformed into a beautiful golden fishtail. Leaning against the edge of the pool, she narrowed her eyes in contentment and leisurely enjoyed her ice cream.

System: Host, did you come to this world specifically to eat ice cream?

"So she's a little mermaid with a golden tail."

Yin Yao's room was on the third floor of the neighboring villa. Looking out from the window, he happened to have a clear view of the swimming pool next door. He had been sitting by the windowsill reading when an absent-minded glance outside revealed the beautiful, noble, and gluttonous little mermaid.

He truly hadn't expected that she would be lounging by the pool, playing with the water while eating ice cream. She really was ridiculously greedy.

Tang Guo also sensed an unusual gaze. Raising her head, she met Yin Yao's eyes.

She smiled brightly. "Senior Yin Yao."

"Little mermaid." Yin Yao narrowed his eyes, his voice indifferent. "I've discovered your identity."

"So, Senior, are you planning to use this to threaten me into doing something?" Tang Guo blinked innocently. "Please don't expose who I am, alright? I'll do whatever you want. Isn't that enough?"

Yin Yao: "..."

System: No shame whatsoever.

Yin Yao was so startled by her words that the book in his hand slipped from the windowsill.

Tang Guo casually pointed a finger at the book suspended in midair. The volume that had been rapidly falling suddenly stopped, then slowly rose back up until it landed once more in Yin Yao's hands.

"Senior Yin Yao, seeing that I helped you pick up your book, please don't expose my identity."

Holding the book, Yin Yao could still sense the traces of divine power left behind by the little mermaid.

If all he had heard was her pitiful voice, he might have thought she was genuinely frightened.

But seeing the utterly fearless expression on her face, a trace of amusement actually appeared on his usually cold features.

"Returning a book is enough to make me keep your secret? Little mermaid, you're truly naive."

After issuing the threat, Yin Yao himself found it strange. He was threatening a little mermaid? It was utterly unbelievable.

"Then what do you want, Senior?" Resting her chin on one hand, Tang Guo licked her ice cream and looked at him pitifully. "I already said earlier—as long as you don't expose my identity, I'll do whatever you say."

The sweet, syrupy tone in her voice nearly made the book slip from Yin Yao's hand again.

Where in the world had this little mermaid come from?

Gluttonous, proud, and shamelessly thick-skinned to an outrageous degree.
